I stole a can of chicken and rice soup from walmart a few years ago and it sits in my dresser bc i dont actually like chicken and rice soup turns out

“Look, it was wrong, and I know it, okay? I knew it was a dumb idea even before I did it, but at the time, it didn’t feel like I had any other option. I just got tired, and I wanted it to stop, so...yeah.” 

Shoulders shrugged nonchalantly, even though she knew just how big of a deal the entire situation truly was. Truth be told, she didn’t consider what she’d experienced as being bullied. This was the first time anything of the sort had ever happened to her, and on any other day, she’d consider herself to be fairly popular in the world of high school. Well, she certainly didn’t hang out with the queen bee and her little squad on a regular basis, but they had a friendly, cordial relationship. Or at least so Meagan had thought up until recently anyway. “You don’t know what it’s like. First, you’re a guy. Second, you didn’t have to try and navigate high school with a Los Angeles police captain for a mother.” As much as she didn’t want to sound as if she was blaming all of her problems on Elaine’s chosen career path, she needed to get her honest feelings out in the open to properly explain her temporary loss of rationality in the hopes that the closest thing she had to a father wouldn’t have to look at her the way he was in that exact moment anymore.

“I guess what I’m trying to say is that I finally reached my breaking point. I couldn’t deal with everyone always telling me what a goody-two-shoes I was anymore, so I decided to do something I knew would prove them wrong but wasn’t too serious enough to get me into any real trouble.” And there she went at least somewhat proving their exact point. 

“It was just one little dress, and I honestly thought no one would even notice. Not helping my case any, I know, but... You and Mom can do something to make sure this doesn’t follow me around for the rest of my life, right? I don’t even care if I have to do community service as a punishment. I just don’t want such a stupid blemish tarnishing my record forever.”
