Okay, PMA Weapon’s Week Day 3! JJ’s bow and arrows.
Again, not looking like much, but thought was put into it. I enjoy archery, although I would not claim to all that knowledgeable (swords I’ve actively researched) but there appears to be three types of bow. Traditional longbow that stands at about six feet tall (I think there’s some variation depending on the users height), show bows, which are the ones you would normally see practiced with these days. And finally, compound bows (I think there are other names for it beginning with ‘C’ but I can’t remember what they are) which are the ones you see in competitions like the Olympics.
I’ve given JJ a short bow, based on his likely height, given that Jack’s a smol bean and they’re all played by him/aspects of him whatever, so maybe too short for a long bow, and a compound bow would be too modern for him.
So, a nice simple short bow with some gilding because it fits JJ. Sam’s on the quiver this time, and it’s a belt quiver not a back quiver because back quivers came from horseback archers not ground archers seriously belt quivers are so much more accessible than a back quiver when you’re not on horseback damn you fantasy for popularising this!
Breathe, it’s okay, and calm.
Seriously, I love that JJ has a bow and arrow, a quiet weapon which can be used to snipe people if you so desire (not so much on an open battlefield) perfect for someone from the silent film era.
