So I’m doing research for a one off line in my Jason Doesn’t Die/No Capes au where Roy is describing Jason’s physical appearance right after meeting him and I was trying to figure out how tall Jason would be. I usually use the cannon where Jason was 4′6″ when he died, and since no Lazarus Pit is involved, he definitely wouldn’t reach his current canon height of 6′0″.
So figuring out how tall he would be in my story, I looked up how many inches boy’s grow from fifteen to when they stop growing. The 50th percentile chart is what popped up, which is what I have to use since I can’t find a chart based off of nourishment.
This chart told me that between fifteen and eighteen, 50th percentile boys only grow about three inches.
Which means in my story if I were using this data, Jason would be 4′9″. I took mercy on the poor thing and bumped him up to the same height as my mom as well as Cass (5′2″) because if I didn’t Roy would tower over him way too much, and as much as I love height difference and think it would be hilarious to make the tallest Robin the shortest member of the batfam, I couldn’t do it in good conscious.
