short staffed ~ lili + tempo
Seunghyun checked his watch for the third time that afternoon, hoping the newbie wasn't going to be late. He needed to show her around the bar and the back kitchen before getting on with his own work up on the stage, and that would definitely take more than an hour. The Dive wasn't open yet, but the sooner he could get started on his work, the sooner he could finish with it and take a smoke break. He wasn't jonesing for it yet but he liked his schedule of one cig every few hours and he was almost due for his nicotine injection.
Plus he hated doing these kinds of side jobs at The Dive, the ones his boss was too damn drunk or stupid to do himself. For some reason, the guy had decided that Seunghyun being the DJ meant he was somehow the senior operative at this joint and therefore responsible for everyone and everything that happened. He didn't know why the fuck this place didn't have a proper manager, but every time he complained about it, he just ended up arguing with his boss. And he hated talking to that asshole. Besides, by now most of the workers in the club respected Seunghyun anyway, so it was basically a moot point.
Today the boss had figured that they were short-staffed, which surprised Seunghyun that he even knew how many staff members there were, so he'd hired in some girl Seunghyun was to meet and train. Seunghyun didn't know jack-shit about waitressing, but at least maybe he could show her around. He sat at the bar and sipped a water when he saw her walk in, lifting a hand up to catch her attention. "Choi-ssi, correct?" the corner of his lips turned up. It was odd calling someone else by his own name.
