My prob with your Rey they is that the lightsaber is the one luke lost in besoin with his hand.

i know but that doesn’t mean luke didn’t find it again before tfa. if he is as connected to it as is suggested it might have called to him to which is how he found it, maz says ‘it was lukes, and his father’s before him, and now it calls to you’. and she doesn’t seem suprised that the lightsaber has the ability to do that. just a theory
