🙃"It's the weekennnnnd baaaaaaabyyy!"😂 . #shortstorytime (the #sweettreathack is at the end! ) . One of my friends is an AVID fitness enthusiast. She never misses her workouts during the week, hits and misses with her food during the week (mostly misses) because she hates leftovers and often never knows from meal to meal what she's gonna eat ➕ she's often offered birthday and anniversary cake invites in the office and never turns those down! . Here's her other dilemma...she often falls prey to the latest diet fads....keto, intermittent fasting, juice fast, thrive patches, advocare and Herbalife shakes, etc..you name it, she's tried it.....but only for a few days...when the weekend hits, she takes 2 days off from workouts and from Friday to Sunday....and has a weekly tradition of drinking margaritas and eating chips and salsa at her favorite Mexican restaurant, eating whatever on Saturday & Sunday....then complaining about her lack of results on Monday. . Does she sound like anyone you know? . You CAN indulge on treat you've been craving on the weekend....here's the rule (I'm sure all the Health guru's will be #bigmad about this) . 1️⃣ Eat a high protein & high veggie (non starchy) meal first. Once you eat your meal, enjoy your treat. . 🤷🏾‍♀️ Butttttttt.....that's not good advice, Felicia! ➖ 👉🏾Fact: Once you fill up on a high protein/large volume of veggies meal...you won't likely have enough room to eat too much of that treat! . . #shortstorytime from the #ThingsThatonlyhappenToMe files: Went to see #blackpanther at our local theater with a dear friend. I parked my minivan and got out to walk to the theater. I saw a car moving backwards in my peripheral view. I did a double take and saw that there was NO DRIVER in the car. I donned my mom superhero cape and made sure no children or elders were in the path of the car. It kept rolling and then hit the car behind it and stopped. I took this photo and told the manager. Short story off the top of my head...

Once there was a little girl who loved trees. She had a favorite tree she visited every day, until one day she came to find that her beloved tree had been cut down. She felt a deep sadness for the tree, holding back tears. A man nearby asked the girl if she was alright. She shook her head no and pointed at the tree that was now laying on the ground. The man looked at the tree he had cut down an hour before and then back at the little girl with the sad face. He knelt down and apologized to the girl for cutting down her favorite tree. He explained that the tree was sick and he promised her the tree would go to a good cause. She wiped her face and slowly turned to walk away. The man told her to come back in a few days and she would feel better. A few days later, she returned to the park out of curiosity. When she arrived she couldn't believe her eyes! A huge tree stood in the spot where her old tree had been. And hanging from the branches were several swings made of wood. She also saw bird houses and feeders hanging from the tree. Some birds were already inspecting the new additions to the park. She noticed a sign posted near the bottom of the tree. "This tree was transplanted from a magical forest. It is protected by a powerful spell and shall not be harmed. It is for all to enjoy for years to come." The girl giggled as she read the sign and kicked off the ground to swing. As she leaned back letting her hair fly through the wind, she watched as the birds flew in and out of their new homes and she was at peace once again.
