Also reworked this background a little today. More textures and shading! Still black and white; color overlays come later.

"This game would be more fun if we were playing it with wine"
Drinking Game: Every time you send an opinion that my muse hates or disagrees with, they will have to take a shot of whiskey:
"I'm not sure necking wine is as satisfying. And you'd hit a plateau earlier. Sooooo shot to be for Molloy."
Testrender from the fifth schot with some lights and the water plane. Toonshader gets easily noisy when using applied textures instead of just flat colours. I have had to balance the shaders base colour tonemaps out a bit too to mach the environment. The animation in the playblast uses the previous cycle as a base but I have animated the movement to turn and glide over the camera to the next scene.
Does pup have a tail?
♡ Shot #5 !
Omgeez yesss !! I does !!
It's black and red , and sups fluffy !! ♡
When snow is grown up, how will dire react to her dating?
Dire huffed. He was swaying a bit. “I really don’t want to see her end up with some low life... I want her to be safe... Ugh time for another shot...”
In this pass I imported the rig and animation from previous version of shot 6 in the the scene of shot 5. I changed between the visibility of the two rigs to work them together in to one performance. I had to change the animation from shot 6 to match the end of shot 5 and it did cos me some problems while doing it. The phone from the first half disappeared and I was having serious render issues. Every time I tried to render even a single test frame the program would crash. I din't find a particular reason for this but I think the two rigs may have been too much for the university computers as my home PC managed to render it fine.
I'm pleased with the animation so far and I think the blend between the two rigs worked really well. The Lady's reaction to the text (that I have yet to put in) look quite genuine so far. The animation from shot 6 transferred well but I will still do a polishing pass. The positioning of her eyes needs to be tweaked as she is still slightly cross eyed in some places and the timing of their movement is a little off. I also want the end of this shot to blend well with the following shot as it will cut as she turns around. I may need to tweak it later when I have finished the next shot to be certain the match.
So this is the blocked out result of my reference footage. I haven't completely sorted out the timing of the movements yet and the follow through action of the body and head don't currently match. I will work on polishing that out in the next pass but I am pleased with the action in this new pass. I think it comes across as less contrived and fake that the previous version and I also think The Lady's distress can already be more clearly seen than the last version.
I will do another polishing pass and tweak the timing and the eyes.
This shot is supposed to be The Lady looking around the room to see if there is anyone there. She knows that there is no-one there but by this point in the film her sense of isolation and distress has started to build and she is starting to act a little irrationally. I've been having some problems with the timing of this shot though. I can't seem to get The Lady's distress across as clearly as I would like. Lynn suggested I take more reference footage but of myself and focusing on the performance in the scene rather than the movement. Although I am not convinced of my acting ability I think this is the best course of action to get a good performance out for the end of the film.
