okay so i'm actually writing for a fic for the first time a long time in a long time and yeah i know what's going to happen but then people keep thinking things and saying things and doing things and I'm like "hang on, i'm pretty sure that wasn't supposed to happen" but then it does and it works and then i'm like damn and help help my characters are running their own lives again so i'm not entirely sure how this is gonna end. does it always go like this? it seems i can't write anything these days without my characters getting opinions about what should happen next.
