siempre ha sido divertido eso de “está jugando [pais colonizador] vs [pais colonizado]?? ya se a quien irle” pero esta vez siento que los gringos se lo están tomando demasiado en serio y echándolo a perder en redes sociales.

es chistoso sobretodo al principio, cuando no hay gran impacto de cada partido y están muchos países diferentes participando. sin embargo en este punto que solo están las potencias de futbol, ahora si tiene sentido apoyar paises basados en sus equipos y jugadores. pero mi lado disque woke de twitter en inglés está hecho desastre.

en primer lugar quiénes son los gringos para juzgar eso? está padre armar solidaridad entre países en vías de desarrollo que nada tienen que ver normalmente unos con los otros, pero con el daño que eeuu le ha hecho a latinoamérica y muchos otros países se siente súper insensible de su parte estar queriendo entrar a nuestro juego. como cuando los alumnos de burlan de la escuela y llega un maestro a querer ser parte del chiste.

y en segundo lugar, ya ni es juego para ellos. no es para tanto? están sacando listas de wikipedia con todos los crímenes de guerra y lo que sea de cada país y poniéndose a tener pleitos de quién es más woke dependiendo de a quien apoyas y terminan insultando jugadores de minorías que nada tienen que ver con los crímenes históricos del país en el que viven.

me da un montón de flojera entrar a twitter, solo los tweets de los mexicanos kpop-ificando a los jugadores de nuestra selección nacional siguen entreteniendo, lo demás no.

i just love the idea of Gabriel while he’s not being Hawkmoth (mainly before) being this kind of evil therapist to people around him

encouraging them to not repress their negative emotions and assert themselves and so on.

i kinda love it when men are into women’s fashion because it’s not about what would look good on themselves or what matches their own auto-perceived aesthetic, they’re genuinely in it for the love of the game, like. they are generally not planning to wear these clothes, they just love how they look and they love the craftsmanship and the creativity of it all and they like to hype the women who rock them in real life. i just think it’s all very cool.

i want to draw but i’m scared

imagine you meet some famous person that you’re a fan of (someone you at least have saved a picture of on your phone or whose social media posts you regularly like/comment) but in a context completely unrelated to the reason they’re famous.

that is, in this situation you’re not approaching them as a fan, but as two strangers getting acquainted, and you eventually become friends or more.

(for example, you and this celebrity find yourselves as colleagues working together on some project or maybe you find you share a common acquaintance who introduces you, or you both start taking the same class, etc.)

how would you handle the fact that you’re their fan?

i would tell them right away that i’m a huge fan

i would treat them normal first and tell them i’m their fan after getting closer

i would try to seem casual, say i like some of their work and that’s it

i would pretend i hadn’t known them before, forever

i can’t imagine this happening bc everyone i like is too famous

i don’t know what i would do

im thinking that in this scenario you’re assuming you’ll be able to see this celebrity again, so you’d not necessarily have to act like at a fan meeting or a random encounter on the street, where you’d think this is your one and only chance at meeting them.
