the day i became a human waterfall
season 7 and season 8 voltron: legendary defender arrived at my netflix last week and i just finished it today.
i’ve never cried so damn hard in my life. full-on sobs. really loud bawling.
allura was saying goodbye to the others when the waterworks came. i cried the hardest when she was saying goodbye to lance. THEY JUST GOT TOGETHER COME ON DUDE. i haven’t stopped crying since.
my mom came in after the universe was restored, telling me to stop crying. she told me it’s just a cartoon. JUST A CARTOON ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?!?!?! i cried harder. she gave me a hug and patted my back. then she handed me my iron man stuffy (that was sweet, thanks mom) and she said ‘when black widow and iron man died you also cried’. LIKE DUH MOM. I LOVE THEM SO VERY MUCH YOU CANT EXPECT ME TO BE STOIC AFTER THE DEATH OF MY SUPER MEGA IDOLIZED CHARACTERS. ngl, i cried even harder
right now, i’m feeling pretty calm. i love and adore allura. she’s who i want to be when i grow up. i shipped lance and allura from the start. then i thought: lance and keith have that fire going! then: oooh, keith and shiro has something going on.
ugh, and the vibe between pidge and hunk and how everyone loves each other even some wouldn't really admit it (*cough*keith*cough), it's so futzing wholesome. and coran may be a goofball but he's gosh darned loyal and caring and a really wholesome character and i think about all this and i get sad again.
i give it a ∞/10 and i would definitely binge it again.
