Humans are so creative, we're inspired by what we see around us, visual media, text, audio, nature. It's an absolute inevitably that our creativity will arise similar concept and finished products. THIS DOES NOT EQUATE COPYING/PLAGARIZING. I've seen artists give up on nearly finished or even finished projects because someone else produced something similar sooner. In the doll hobby I know of at least two people who have halted work on dolls because a company or other artists released a similarly designed doll. YOUR WORK AND IDEAS ARE STILL VALID. you work is your own, your ideas were born of you and another person coming to the same creative conclusion does not invalidate or make your idea less. Push on, make your version yours by pouring all your creative might into it. Both versions born of passion can exist simultaneously and be equally appreciated. You can not however take the inverse route of bullying, threatening, demanding or harassing someone who develops the similar concept. Your ideas do not immediately invalidate those of another. None of the above applies to direct and blantant copying/art theft/plagarizing. If there is an obvious case of direct, and exact point for point, note for note, cut for cut, stroke for stroke copying you have absolutely every right to raise utter hell and I'll be right there with you to do so. To often in this hobby we have acussed, harassed and driven off creative forces because of jumps to conclusions, and accusations made out of fear of the above. Step back, breath, and then make sure of what you're seeing. #rant #art #bjds #bjd #abjd #Balljointeddoll #shoutintothevoid #notdirectedatanyone https://www.instagram.com/p/BnzBLwzlh4w/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=c9imbcar1xx2
