Let's talk about the side characters.

Pym in my personal opinion one of the best characters on that show. She's cute, funny, super friendly and just baby in general. Her scenes are funny and exactly what you would expect a TV-14 arthurian legend retelling to have. Sad scenes, funny scenes, stressful scenes. Just generally wholesome shit. Healing vikings the best that she can and flirting with Dof while also being such a dork is so cute.

Kaze is a fantastic mentor, there should have been more of Kaze teaching Nimue instead of Merlin. She's smart, strong, has a very pretty voice. She has that single rich aunt vibe to her. She's just such a strong character, she's got combat experience, is more trustworthy, has leadership skills as well. In general a great role model. Think uncle Iroh but with fangs and a sword

Morgana is a very interesting character, her tension with Arthur for being dropped into a convent. Her distaste for authority and general demeanor are fantastic. She is a great lancer for Nimue in the way that she pushes Nimue into the role she needs to take. Morgana really follows the speak softly and carry a big stick motto and I love her for that.

Sometimes it is the nature of the world to create BBC Merlin over and over again.

I am very interested in the weeping monk's development as a character. That being said, if there was to be a good guy to be in a relationship with Lancelot I would absolutely say it would need to be Galahaut.

I get that people are a little iffy about Authur's whole stealing a sword who was someone's mothers dying wish to give to Merlin, as his fathers dying wish to have him become a knight. I would have rather seen them grow alongside, becoming leaders in their own right. Rather than growing together as a pair. I also believe that the story really happens around Nimue rather than her having any agency.

What my point really is, I want Morgana and Nimue to process their trauma together and guide eachother between a world where men try to speak over them so that they can succeed together. They're protagonists they should keep pushing through the story.

Anyways, Morgana, Nimue, and Kaze should beat up the red paladins together.

I am seeing a lot of Weeping Monk and Nimue shippers and I kind of feel like this is going down the way Kylo Ren and Rey shippers in the star wars fandom was.

Shipping the main female character with a villain who has and might continue to commit horrible crimes against Nimue's people is kind of fucked.

This feels like "Waaa Finn and Rey have no chemistry waaa!" I get that some people might not get that this is low key racist. Dude, shipping two people who are actively trying to get eachother killed, not in the fun banter sword fight way, in the genocidal way. Is really something you should think about. Would you ship John Snow with Circe Lannister? No. You wouldn't.

I get that Nimue's chemistry with Aurthur is off, it's also because during the time that the two of them are finally reunited, the plot is happening around them, not with them.

Also, I am gay and have mommy issues, so I'm biased towards Morgana x Nimue so that they can work through their first family trauma together.

As a black person who is transracially adopted who has lived in the suburbs all my life. I have a taste for that good good diet racism. I saw it all over in the Star Wars fandom before I started avoiding it like the plague. Now I see it again in Cursed.

It tastes familiar, like plain soggy cereal and bland chicken.
