least shrew mole (Neurotrichus gibbsii)
Japanese Shrew Mole Urotrichus talpoides
Known as himizu in Japanese, a mole found in Japan. The species is an omnivore, but their diet is largely composed of invertebrates and plants, which is why they tend to inhabit soil that is nutrient-rich.

🚨 NEW SHREW-MOLE ALERT 🚨
Byrne Creek Ravine. Magical place, even encountered a shrew-mole!
Unlike other moles, Shrew Moles (Neurotrichus gibbsii) spend some time above ground so their forefeet are smaller. Also, while their claws are long, they are not flattened like with other moles. Instead of digging through soil, Shrew Moles tunnel through loose-leaf litter and decaying vegetation on forest floors looking for insects, though earthworms still make up a significant portion of their diet.

Resurrected these 2 ocs whom I love very much, redesigned them (not too heavily) and brushed off the dust on their designs. Shoutout to anyone who recognizes them!
