I love all your thg designs, but your Peeta design has a special place in my heart…. I love it so much that I specifically sought out your blog now that I’m rereading the trilogy bc YES that is exactly how I see him in my head

That is SOOOO flattering omg!! Did you know I actually struggled a lot with Peeta’s design at first… generally speaking I gravitate towards grumpy/surly characters and found it really difficult to make innocent and friendly looking expressions. Also I couldn’t really decide on how to do his hair which you can see in my earlier artworks 😭😭 idk I always had a very strong mental image of katniss but kind of went back and forth on Peeta. So it’s actually so nice to hear that you like his design😭😭😭 thank you so much for your lovely ask <3

- Todd Hewitt my beloved. I'm such a main character bitch but like.... he's so Good and he goes through So Much....

scrunkly (my “baby”, character that gives me cuteness aggression, character that is So Shaped)

- Idk if I'd describe Viola as "baby" but she is undeniably my daughter and every time she does literally anything I'm that one parent sitting in the audience screaming like DID YOU SEE THAT, THAT'S MY GIRL, I'M SO PROUD OF YOUUUUUU

scrimblo bimblo (underrated/underappreciated fave)

- I'm not really sure how Lee is seen in the eyes of the Chaos Walking fandom but man..... that dude is such a trooper. I have some serious respect for him for doing so much good despite all the horrible shit that happens to him/is happening around him. Never even had a chance with the girl he liked but helped them out anyway. And we can't blame him for going for Viola bc like obviously Viola is amazing lol

glup shitto (obscure fave, character that can appear in the background for 0.2 seconds and I won’t shut up about it for a week)

- Angharrad.... what a good fuckin horse.

- Honestly kind of offended how much these books made me feel for Davy fuckin Prentiss like, jesus. Right when he was starting to redeem himself... he sucks but he's also so tragic and I want to hate him but in the end I didn't and that's saying something I think

horse plinko (character I would torment for fun, for whatever reason)

- Mayor Prentiss should be sentenced to the plinko for 1000 years

That’s honestly really hard because aside from a couple of characters, I love the entire cast? My fave list changes on a day to day basis. But as of right now...

1. Jirou (obviously, she’ll always be #1)

2. Yaoyorozu

3. Kirishima

4. Todoroki

5. Kouda

Again, I love basically everyone. On a different day, anyone else could take the slots that aren’t #1.

Katrina, have I asked u which chaos walking scenes are your favorite? :O

I don't think so!! :00 I had to think about this for a bit since I haven't revisted the latter two books in a while (although I did reread the knife of never letting go again recently cuz it's my fave of the three ehehe)

One scene that comes to mind is when Todd and Viola meet Hildy's sister for the first time and Todd has no idea how to act around women so he calls her Mim instead of Ma'am (lol). I love the funny little moments in between the constant anxiety and danger.

Really any scene where Viola and Todd banter is great, I love the narrative voices in all the Chaos Walking books! And I especially love scenes where they're getting along or finding strength in each other, like when they reunite in the second book and promise to always forgive each other when they fall. Or when Todd finds strength in Viola's name and uses it as a weapon with his noise, UGH! So good!!
