Nostalgiaweeks. Drawing for fandoms I used to make fanart for when couldn't really draw. Today I present Luxa, from the beginning of Gregor the overlander when she cut off her hair. I just can't understand how this isn't more popular concidering the Hunger games popped off.

My take on an older/future version of Luxa from the Underland Chronicles! She would be about 24 y/o here, but never lost that attitude <3

I've always debated on whether I envision older!Luxa with short or long hair, but I enjoy the symbolism of her cutting her hair for the war and then growing it back out after the series ends to show that wartimes are over and they have the peace and security to embrace "unpractical" things the war made them give up.

The thematic richness of Gregor having to drop Solovet's dagger to kill the Bane. How he is able to do what he has to do without using her tactics. How has to let go of Sandwich's sword to take Ares' claw. How Luxa has to let go of her anger, of hurt both justified and festering, to take Ripred's claw.

this is my creature her name is luxa and she’s a shield dwarf + draconic bloodline sorcerer so i can live out my dwarf mage dreams. rudimentary backstory: her people are endlessly taking & losing & retaking their ancient strongholds. sorcerers have been occasionally born to her family for many generations, and they’re always raised to use the gifts they were born with in those endless wars, becoming key weapons despite whatever the rest of the shield dwarves (who typically don’t think all that highly of arcane magic) will tell you. however she decided she was not actually all that into endless war and ran away as a teenager to the coast, where she used her charisma score, plus the disguise magic that comes naturally to her bloodline, to travel from city to city as a mildly successful small-time conwoman, ending up in baldur’s gate
