2. What color and style is your hair?
Naturally, it’s 50/50 brown/grey. It’s dyed red, and cut relatively short. My ‘do is quite 90s, but it works for me.

6. What is your fashion style?
I wear a lot of dresses with leggings and boots in the winter. In the summer it’s mostly capris/skirts with layered Ts. I am very fond of beautiful shoes but mostly don’t buy them as I cannot walk in them.

9. Where are you from and where do you live now?
Born in Stratford, grew up in Kingston, now live in Toronto.
10. What school do/did you go to?
I’ve been to a few ;) My first degree is from Queen’s, my second from Ryerson.
11. What kind of student are/were you?
As a kid, very, very serious. Not getting straight As was a cause for consternation. The first time I ever got 70% on something I cried, and went home and confessed it to my mom like it was a teen pregnancy or something.
As I got older, I had fewer and fewer fucks to give.
12. Do/did you like school?
Again, as a kid, very much so. I was essentially Lisa Simpson. “Grade me, grade me! Evaluate and rank me! I’m good good good and OH so SMART!”
Now I have no desire to be evaluated on academic things anymore, but if I had unlimited funds I would go back and audit classes in all the subjects I never took but wished I had.
13. What are/were your favorite subjects?
Political economics and film studies.
The West Wing, The Wire, Mad Men, Deadwood, early Simpsons, early Glee, Newsradio, Sports Night, The Flash, Justified.
Casablanca, The Big Lebowski, The Commitments, The Princess Bride.
Gaudy Night, Pride and Prejudice, Emma, LOTR, the Harry Potter series (Order of the Phoenix is my fave and fuck y’all if you think that’s wrong), The Late Shift, Desperate Networks, The War for Late Night.
18. Do you have any regrets?
Many, mostly career related, but I try not to think about them too much or I just get depressed.
Film or TV critic for the New Yorker.
20. Would you like to be married someday?
If the right person comes along.
21. Would you like to have kids?
See above. I desperately wish I could give my parents grandchildren, because they want them SO BADLY. But they are not an ambition for me.
If I were going to do it, I’d want at least two. As my parents get older, I’m more and more grateful that my sister is also here to share this with me.
23. Do you like shopping?
For some things, yes. I do a lot of online window shopping.
25. The scariest nightmare you had?
I’ve had several where I’ve been shot, and several more where I’ve been absolutely screaming at my dad. They are exhausting.
