Vincent struggled to keep up with Bard despite the difficulty the outfit the hitman had talked him into gave him. "Bard who are we suppose to be again?"

"I'm Kaworu Nagisa, and you are Shinji Ikari from a cool anime called Evangelion. And don't make me tell you to get in the fucking robot."

"Greetings again Leon." Vincent says looking up from his book.

"Hey there, uh, you're...Vincent? Right? Or can I call ya Vince? Vince it is. Nice to see ya again, man!" Leon replied quickly, jumping up and sitting on the edge of his desk.

Failed Isolation

Another day, another period of keeping to himself and not talking to anyone. At least, that had been Shizuka Megumi's idea in today: he had no desire to talk to anyone, or risk a betrayal happening again. As such, he'd taken his favourite book to the school gardens, still in bounds of the school, but quiet.

Lots of plants and flowers. Sitting under a large tree, it's leafy branches shielding him from view, Shizuka adjusted his glasses and read. However, he was barely sitting there but a minute before the peace was disrupted, a  voice cutting through his nerves.

"......It's rather rude to interrupt someone who's busy reading, you know."

The librarian took his blue gaze off the pages off his book a moment to give the person an unamused stare at cutting his private reading time. ...If he just stayed stoic and cold, people wouldn't get close to him. They wouldn't find the secret, and all would be well.

5) Bio: Shizuka Megumi was born to very successful office workers – and you would think that having a child would be a blessing for them, but in actuality, Shisuka’s appearance was an unplanned one, and the parents were far more concerned with keeping money in the bank and staying successful than taking care of their own child, so they left the boy alone with his grandfather most of the time. Perhaps this had a hand in why Shizuka is so cold and aloof: because he figured out from a very young age his parents weren't going to bother with him no matter what he did, so why bother? Thankfully, his grandfather was more of a supportive figure than his parents ever could be, looking after the child with great joy.

When Shizuka was old enough, every Tuesday, he would take the child on an outing to the local library and read aloud from one of the many books there to him – and then at lunchtime, they would go out and eat a bacon potato fritter. Life was simple, but happy, which lended to Shizuka having that ‘kind spot within’: until his grandfather had an accident and fell while fixing the roof tiles one day. His parents didn't have the time to take Shizuka to the hospital, so he took his piggy bank and used the money he had been saving to buy his own books to visit him by taxi.

The prognosis wasn't good. Not only did his grandfather have a concussion, bad enough to have landed him in hospital in the first place – but there were signs the impact meant he forgot some things he’d done in the past, even forgetting Shizuka himself, partially. Yet, there were no books in the hospital: and so, Shizuka made it his mission to go to the library every day, borrow books, and bring them back for his grandfather on Tuesdays, willingly letting him read the books to him like he used to, even though people wondered why. Due to visiting the library every day, he grew even fonder of it, and eventually, the head librarian suggested taking up a part-time job in the place so he wouldn't have to struggle so much with saving money for the taxi to the hospital.

Shizuka happily accepted, for he loved books – and what better way to ensure he could keep visiting his grandfather every Tuesday? He grew to know every single book in the library and help the head librarian with stacking them away or helping people with finding certain books – all with such a surprising speed and intelligence that even the head librarian was surprised. It was as if he had a super talent for being a librarian.  

Time passed, and Shizuka got older – but still visited his grandfather every Tuesday, though he wished…wished with all his heart he could do more. It was at this point of his life the head librarian spoke of a school – a prestigious place called Hope’s Academy, which held books even they didn’t have. Perhaps they had books on how to help his grandfather remember – and so Shizuka strove to become so good at his ‘super talent’ he’d be noticed by the school, which he was…

6) Likes/Dislikes:

Likes: bacon potato fritters, reading, books in general, well-thought out movie adaptations of books, The book ’The Secret Garden’ (he’ll vehemently deny this to people he doesn’t know well, though), writing, proper language and etiquette, a set schedule to things, his grandfather (again, he’ll be a big tsundere and deny this to those he doesn’t know well)

Dislikes: overly sweet foods, those who look down on intelligent people, books being manhandled or mistreated, too much noise and talking, messy and disorganized people, his glasses being stolen (he can’t see shit without them), improper use of language or etiquette, late or tardy people, his mother and father (they didn’t care about him at all so…)

7) Which of the 7 deadly sins would you associate your character with? Give a short explanation for your reasoning: Pride – because he’s a freaking kuudere who closes himself off from social interaction for the most part, refusing to show his inner self as much mainly due to a matter of ‘pride’ and wanting to keep his ‘serious’ face intact…it fits well.

12) Appearance:

Standing at an average height of 5’7, but slightly chubby with a weight of just above the average weight of a boy his age expected to be (because of all those bacon potato fritters), despite wanting to go on a diet and perhaps lose that slight chub, Shizuka would be considered fairly healthy. His hair is thick and wavy, and slightly grayish black – because of this, and his serious nature, people have the habit of sometimes assuming he is older than he actually is. Being of Japanese Heritage, his eyes are fairly narrow and  he tends to carry himself with a certain poise. He has terrible eyesight and is never seen without a pair of thin blue-rimmed spectacles, which sit atop light blue (they look purplish at times due to how light they are, but Shizuka himself will correct others on this if asked) eyes.

Being a responsible and serious SHSL Librarian, he is never seen without a dark-blue, sophisticated-looking librarian’s coat, with a red bowtie fasted across the neckline. Under this, he wears a tidy white long-sleeved shirt. He’s usually seen tucking books into this coat’s pockets and so to see his coat pockets empty is a rare occurrence. The librarian’s uniform carries to a pair of studious long pants that match the color of the coat, completing the ‘suit’ in general. His brown shoes are always fervently polished and generally lend the librarian a further air of sophistication.  

13) List 2-4 items your character owns that he or she might hold dear: A second pair of glasses kept carefully in his pockets if he breaks the first pair he’s wearing, and a rather battered copy of ‘The Secret Garden’ given to him by his Grandfather that he refuses to show anyone excepting people who he trusts enough to not blab about it. 

14) If apping multiple characters, which of the two would you want to get in the most? (You still have a chance for both to get in, but that isn’t guaranteed!) N/A! I only plan on apping one!
