☆ huehuehue remember when i disguised as you in mafia and there were two hido's in the deadchat
i do remember that. it was terrifying. im still traumatized from it tbh. occasionally i wake up in a cold sweat, the awful images of that game waking me from my slumber...
Kiseki totally hates Kaoru's guts though.
For the most part, the scale of "how much Kiseki likes people" looks exactly the same as the scale of "how intelligent Kiseki perceives other people to be". And he thinks Kaoru is dumber than a stack of lobotomized bricks.
Not to mention the fact Kaoru grabbed and dragged Kiseki away in their first interaction, which is like. One of the top things on Kiseki's "do this and i'll hate you for life" list.
Kiseki was actually a little happy when Kaoru died... Don't tell Saori.
"I’m sorry my almost gf killed you I guess? Well, you’re alive now." Chiemi didn’t…really have much of a positive or negative opinion on Kaoru at all? They never interacted and I’m kind of sad about this. I will say that she thought he was rather loud and irrational most of the time (But Chiemi is worse, so….), so she didn’t give his thoughts or actions much value at all??? Chiemi felt bad about the whole Kaoru dying thing though. And when Chie killed him, it broke her heart into a million pieces or so. She really was broken up already because Eva and most of her friends were dead, PLUS CHIE BROKE UP WITH HER. AND SHUN PUSHED HER ASIDE. THANKS SHUN. OH: And getting close to Saori, who she JUST became friends with was probably a HORRIBLE idea. Since Kaoru was her best friend u m mm But uhhh….there wasn’t much to feel about Kaoru? I would like to think she got a chance to meet him in Tartarus during those three months. That would be rad. She’s become much gentler so maybe, JUST maybe Saori would introduce them and they could be total nerds. Idk what they’d do, but heck. Kaoru is a cutie I wish they met formally and stuff but Chiemi scared a lot of people at first like JFC!
"I’m sorry I couldn’t protect you, I’m sorry you were left all alone that night, I’m… I’m sorry I was… I was going to leave you here. I… I love you, Kaoru-kun. You mean the world to me, and if they were to— if they were to do anything to you, I—!"
Congratulations, Kaoru! You’re one of the select few that made it to Saori’s most precious people list! Which might not really sound like much considering Saori basically went around claiming she was everyones friend and she trusted everyone and it really seemed like you just had to speak to her once and! Woah! Friendship!
Haha but that’s… not right at all. Contrary to popular belief, she only actually thought of, like, 6 people as friends. The rest were just students that were stuck here with her or… ‘costumers’. I’d go… more into that but this is a kAORU RELATIONSHIP THING.. .
So Kaoru! Sweet, tiny lil egg, you were one of the 3/6 of her friends that actually saw her! Not only did she break her code of ‘no physical contact!!’ seconds after they met so he could hold her hand, but they were having sleepovers and every time she saw him there was some sort of physical affection— brushing his bangs from his face, arms pressing, fingers coiling together. Y’know, it wouldn’t be unlikely to say Saori loved him after that very first encounter.
Why did she love him so quickly was probably a sort of… protective instinct? It was like finding a lost child on the streets and Saori… has a huge fondness for children. She did look at him as a child for maybe those first five minutes when they were both… crying… in the dirt… but once they got to his room she was beginning to look at him more as? someone who was surely very talented to have been accepted at Hope’s Peak, and saw him as an equal? And then shortly after as.. someone higher than her lmao.
What’s important to think about in addition to Kaoru and Saori’s relationship is that she doesn’t have a family. She lives in an okiya, where the terms you refer to as other geisha and the head of the house are things like “mother” and “sister”, but she… doesn’t think of them as her family. She was adopted. She doesn’t remember her family.
See, but, Kaoru, you called her your sister. And while that moment was cut for YOU TO DIE, I imagine what followed would have been tears, a hug, and a thank you.
You gave her a… family!
… and then died.
Saori defined Kaoru as her light. Throughout the game, she thought very highly of the people who could… control their emotions. And even if she knew Kaoru wasn’t really aware of what was going on, he was still himself through it all. She saw it as a strength, and if Kaoru had not been corrupted by those terrible things, then she promised herself that she would get him out safely, insure that he wouldn’t be hurt in anyway.
… Obviously that didn’t go as planned.
I knew, I knew that if Kaoru died it would be the last straw for her. She wouldn’t have tried to cheer people up, she wouldn’t have trusted anyone (or anyone more than Shay, Kosuke and Imogen), she wouldn’t sugar-coat her words, because why should she if they took him away from her? And after that joke of a trial where people were yelling and getting sidetracked, why should she even bother helping them?
I had honestly planned for her to scream at Chie laughs… Like we could have all been witness to a very pissed off Saori, but there had been so much yelling that trial that Saori„ couldn’t be bothered„
(… But I guess you have Shay to thank for bringing a good portion of her back.)
Okay so this is getting a bit long and I’m not sure I reaLLY MANAGED TO SAY WHAT I WANTED TO BUT…! YEAH MAN… KAORU…. I LOVE YOU… SAORI LOVES YOU.. .. weL COME BACK!!
