Useful Thing You Might Have Forgot To Buy
To start with, this is going to be items and details and tips for how to use every. I'm also saying this for the worst case scenario's, which is being locked inside our homes with now way to leave and the power and water being shut off.
Porta potty/Camping toilet. Now without water we can't use the faucets, toilets, showers, clothes washing machines, ect. I find a five gallon bucket with a toilet seat lid, which is buyable, is fantastic as a diy toilet, poor saw dust or baking soda in afterwards and it will dim the smell exponentially, or consider purchasing a camping toilet.
Shower Bag. These are fairly certain common, and surprisingly still stocked at my stores. They are 5 gallon bags used to hang in tree's, but cam be places in your shower when the water goes off. If you'd like to hear you water then I'd suggest...↓↓
Portable Propane Camping Stove. When the lights go out and the toaster, microwave, and oven stop working how are you going to heat all that canned food you bought? (PS! GET A HAND CAN OPENER) So I would suggest buying a camping stove that runs off propane. Fairly cheep and it works great, especially with frozen meats and veggies.
Washing Clothes Without Power? Go out and buy a storage tub without a lid, one big enough to do a small to medium load of laundry, and remember without water this will take a lot of water to do. You can fill the small plastic tub up instead of your large bathtub saving water. If you wanna get fancier you can buy what's called a Laundry Plunger which is exactly what it sounds like but it's a little different, they're fairly cheep also.
Speaking of WATER why isn't anyone buying water filters to hook onto your sink? We have running water now, let's take advantage of it. Get large containers suitable for storing water in, and fill them up, empty gallon jugs, empty bottles and tea pitcher's, fill them up now. The more you have the better.
Candles for light, flashlights, batteries, and solar powered flashlights.
Also get a Solar Powered Radio, it's pretty handy.
And finally, I want you all to remember one key rule to survive this with our sanity. That's value the people around you, whether that's your partner, your family, your roommates, value them. Because you'll need others to help maintain your own sanity, extended isolation isn't healthy, and we need was to cope. So go buy board games, or if you have a ton of board and card games like me, pull them outta the basement, storage, top of the close, ect. And enjoy your time with the people around you, remind yourselves that you are strong, you are not alone, and you will make it through this.
It's not going to be the end if we can keep it from being the end, but we have to keep being decent human being to pull through this, we have to remember all of us our hurting right now and the world doesn't need any more hurt, neither do the people. We can survive, we are strong, our ancestors made it through hard times, they struggled, they survived, we are built from generations that have survived deviation, it's built into our genetics now to be stronger and survive this. We as humanity Will survive we always have we always will. Be safe stay safe and I hope you and your families and your loved ones are okay right now.
