Shanks is either going to cry, die, or BOTH either before eos or at eos , I can feel it in my veins … (EDIT: this is just a feeling , I really don’t remember where I got this idea from but regardless I don’t believe it any less 😭)
he can’t keep this nonchalant sigma grindset shit up forever . knowing Buggy is going to be one of the final contenders in search of the one piece , shit is gonna get so ugly so quick (I think Oda literally said that himself , idr if it was confirmed) .
I also have an incredibly strong feeling that Shanks will not let anyone , or more importantly , let himself lay a finger on Buggy; I’m convinced that there is absolutely no bone in his stinky , miserable , middle-aged man body that wants to hurt him . especially after thinking about what happened in Loguetown , there’s no way he didn’t feel like a piece of shit after Buggy’s sudden breakdown/confrontation; Buggy threw examples of times where he felt negative emotions toward Shanks without giving him any space to digest them and respond properly , but even then that in itself is terrible 😭 . (Buggy also had so much time to communicate to Shanks about why he was so upset . for example , losing the map and eating the df simply because of Shanks’ presence; lowkey Luffy was right , Shanks did save his life that day LMFAO . Shanks didn’t do shit wrong except for “intruding” 😒 .)
they both had and still do have emotional issues to this day (Shanks is remarkably better at hiding/controlling them , and for Buggy it’s a whole other story tbh) , which is why they’re not moved on yet , but it’s understandable as to why; if my life long dream ran away from me , shit I’d be depressed too . there’s too much proof that Shanks just misses the guy , but I’m not saying Shanks lives in the past , because it’s apparent that he doesn’t . although , I think we can agree he definitely thinks about his relationship with Buggy more than I think he’d like to admit . dwelling on something that happened 20+ years ago (is pathetic ngl , I didn’t say that) and has to be taking the life out of this guy … (lmfao no pun intended , I’m referring to what I said in the beginning of this post)
also another thing , the second Shanks was announced to be looking for the one piece , Buggy just HAD to get his damn feathers ruffed up and was like “ykw if you do it , I’m doing it too.” babe if it wasn’t for the man that you claim to absolutely fucking despise , you would’ve had near 0 motivation to pursue the one piece 😭✌️. mind you , correct me if I’m wrong , but Buggy never even wanted any sort of big status until now , seeing how he was doing in Orange Town in the east blue (the east blue is technically back to square 1 for him , it’s the weakest of the 4) . his motivation to this day is STILL Shanks . how bizarre is that 💀 . as much as Buggy says or implies that he wants to , he’s never letting go of Shanks . unfinished business does a lot to the mind and ik that damn well !!!
