Sorry for leaving the story hanging on a cliffhanger last time! We are excited to share with you chapter 2, which is an action-packed chapter! (Mod Kimmy's favourite thing to write lol)

1. God Papillon's role
In the developing stages of the story, finding out the Shugod's unique abilities on Ranger Wiki was absolutely life-changing. Knowing God Papillon can do camouflage re-contextualized Rita's entrance at the end of episode 4, and also explained how Rita's partner Shugod seemed to be able to appear so suddenly near Rita without drawing attention with their wing-flapping noises heard ahead of time.
It was the perfect final puzzle needed in doing a dramatic reveal of Yanma and Kaguragi's entrance, to transition the story into the second phase of action!
Reading each Shugod's unique abilities made us mods lament how underused the Shugods were in canon. Episode 1 also showed God Hachi shooting lasers from its stingers, and episode 40 showed all Shugods also having that ability while they were controlled by Dagded. That would have been so awesome had we gotten to see all the Shugods fighting with Chikyu's people against Dagded's army in episodes 49 and 50 before combining into God King-Ohger. :(
2. The fight scenes!
We are looking forward to eventually doing analysis posts on King-Ohger fight scenes and combat style for each King as standalone blog content, so we don't want to go too deep into it now. So instead, we'll just share specific fight scenes in King-Ohger that were referenced, which inspired the actions you read in this fanfic.
Chapter 1:
Rita's moments fighting against Kamejim heavily reference the episode 27 fight scene in the Gokkan court/throne room.
The timing and quick switches between Rita's uses of their Kings Weapon in bow mode vs their OhgerCalbur were taken from scenes such as episodes 5 and 6.
Chapter 2:
The split-up and shuffle of group fight scenes are heavily inspired by the fights in episode 19 in Shugodom, after Rita announced the new Five Kingdom Alliance forming the Ohsama Sentai. This is especially true with how Kaguragi and Yanma were bantering as they fought Goma together!
The scene of Rita using their arrows to save Sebastian and Morphonia was visualized from a combination of Rita using their bow in episode 5 (again) and episode 18.
And Rita's finisher moment against Kamejim was conceptualized using a combination of their finisher in episode 16 and episode 38!

We are hopeful we can publish the last chapter by January! When we get to publishing the last chapter, we'll have quite a bit to explain regarding the whole idea of this story!
Rewatching the first episode, and I just noticed that the statue behind the throne reminds me of Rita’s pose? I know Rita’s designated pose might just be based on her knight-like gait but, what if Rita’s past has something to do with Shugoddom? Might be interesting~
