It would not surprise me if Charlie Nash from Street Fighter was similar to Tombo from Kiki's Delivery Service, personality-wise, when he was a kid. Like, I can imagine Charlie being an extroverted nerd who's into aircraft in his youth. (Coincidentally, Tombo showed interest in Kiki, and I headcanon Charlie to be attracted to goth girls.)

Maryellen “Ellie” Larkin is a middle child of a large family in 1954 Florida. Desperate to be seen as her own person, she often has creative ideas… which don’t always end the way she expected. As the science of the time progresses, she finds herself drawn to the advent of vaccines and the dream of space travel, but the challenges of growing up mean she also has to navigate new friendships and family changes at the same time.
