I've unfortunately become aware of the gross discourse going on in the Twitter space surrounding Sanji & Bonney's interactions in 1113 & I wish I had remained unaware because it personally triggers me a bit and really really ticks me off.

This purveying idea that Sanji is a P*do & inappropriate with little girls is neither accurate OR funny. It's not a meme. It's not backed up by any canon material whatsoever. It's definitely not done in good faith. If you seriously think this is an accurate reading on Sanji's character or consistent with how Oda treats little girls within the narrative then I'm gunna have to ask you to shut your mouth & reread the entire series. Oda Is a lot of things, but someone who is a lolicon or caters to those who enjoy that kind of thing he is not. He never has been. What Toei decides to take "creative liberty" with is not his fault either.

The worst part is that most of this isn't even actually from people who have real issues with Sanji's characterization & instead are just idiots who will say ANYTHING to "prove" their favorite character is better. Which is Zoro 95% of the time. It's ALWAYS the fucking Zoro vs Sanji thing this fandom takes way too seriously. They're literally throwing statements around that should be handled with the utmost seriousness and treating it like any average insult. It's as out of pocket as the racist Zoro memes.

I have no issue when people dislike Sanji (especially women) even if I don't 100% agree with their interpretation of the character, but I cannot stand when wildly inaccurate & frankly offensive claims get thrown around & easily accepted by the fandom. Especially when it turns into accusing fans of a character of accepting & enjoying said outlandish claims. This fandom seriously needs to get a grip sometimes & pay attention to the things they are typing out.
