This is the stupidest theory but what if the diamonds are fusions that hide the fact they're fusions? Like the general public on homeworld probably don't know much about fusion in general,due to the fact fusion between to different gems is frowned upon.All they know is that fusion makes you bigger.They wouldn't know about the powers fusions hold.The diamonds,being fusions,would keep the knowledge of these powers hidden so others would think that the diamonds are naturally big and powerful.This also helps "prove" the caste system is correct-after all,the most powerful person should be in charge,right? The diamonds also seem to wear conservative clothing,which could easily hide multiple gems.
Tbh I know that they're gonna bring bismuth back at some point and do something with her but I'm still not happy with the way things went down.Like why did bismuth try to fight steven?I honestly can't think of a good answer.He rejected her idea and she just started swinging.Until that point she was completely nice and playful,she didn't show any signs of aggression or anything.Yeah she's a warrior but so is pearl and she never outright fought steven.idk it just seemed weird to me that instead of talking things out she'd just start fighting.I'm sure we'll get more insight on her character later which might explain her actions,and I'm excited for that,but for right now though,I don't really like the ending.
