SORRY i was away for the holidays but this is actually so funny what the hell
like i gave him a lot of leeway in wr because of his bad posture but i always thought he was on the shorter side because of this comparison to katarina and also malnutrition but
being supposedly shorter than ezreal is just brutal because like NO ONE is shorter than ezreal and i don't think he'd get to live that one down if this is actually accurate. i like short talon but even i imagined him as taller than ez. maybe if talon puts his legs together he'd get a little more height but that's rough buddy.

From female champions he's mostly shipped with Quinn, Briar, Katarina, Cassiopeia, Riven, Lux and Irelia
And males he's either shipped Ezreal or Sett (sometimes maybe Garen)
Also what do you think of Taldrann (Talon x Drann, Drann is Katarina's hemomancer roommate and owner of Talons favorite tea shop)

i dont monoship talon but i definitely have my favorites. i've revamped my talon ship tierlist to show my opinions. (and to be emphasize: these are just my own opinions!!!)
oops i realize now that i've left out irelia but she would be under au only....
elaborating below the cut:
sett is my favorite pairing by FAR. the themes just go so crazy but that's no surprise given this blog and my fics. in my opinion it allows both of their characters to be explored. i even have a powerpoint explaining it.
akshan is just criminally underrated and is an excellent way to explore the aftermath of the katarina comic/talon going to shurima. i like his personality and think he'd be able to be very kind to talon. akshan's a bit deranged so it works.
au only is self explanatory. i think high noon talon and yone is thematically excellent and should be the true protagonists of high noon as they juxtapose each other. taric would be with talon blackwood, and morg + riven are lowkey fighting over enduring sword talon. (irelia can have a toxic fwb with him there too idk there can be history there.)
i wish i was more into tal + ez but as it stands i only like it in a very specific dynamic and its a hassle for me to explain it. thats why im writing a fic for them. lux is also involved in a tal + ez ot3 but once again i really only like it in a certain dynamic. by herself, tal + lux is not my thing though i (once again) appreciate how lux would be kind to talon.
i have no strong thoughts on most other talon ships they just pale in comparison to sett or akshan in my personal opinion. but as long as talon is treated with understanding then idk i getttt it. kayn is in a interesting spot bc i dont strictly monoship kayn but i monoship rhaast, and i dont think talon would like rhaast's company at ALL.
cass and kat are family. and drann does nothing for me personally i don't really see how she and tal would have much of a connection after the kat comic, as she seemed far more connected to katarina instead.
once again this is just my opinion. if i could canonize a ship i wouldn't, in favor of talon being officially canonized as aromantic. idk i just dont really love where canonizing ships leads fandoms. it doesn't seem like the wisest idea in a game like league. but that's something for more nuanced discussion.
i think overall talon fits best with someone who is able to be understanding and able to weather him, like if we're talking about an actual end game relationship. talon is RIFE with issues and instability and in my opinion his best (endgame) ships will always be people who are able to counter his instability, not add to it. Additionally, I prefer talon ships where his rough edges are not sanded down or where he is not fundamentally changed. (eg: a ship where he becomes lovey dovey) but i think that's less of a talon ship problem and more of a typical problem in shipping characters.
talsett is peak to me and if i absolutely had to choose only one it would be them. but i do not want anything canon, and frankly i would prefer it if riot took their sauron eye off him because i fear he will not be written with the care required for a moba gamer audience. i read the ambessa novel and like...
yeah. just leave him alone please. leave him as potential man.
it's funny that you were talking about talon in school yesterday because briar's battle academia skin revealed that she was in the same academy with kat (and it would make sense for him to be in the assassin club with them)
YEAH GOD I WISH talon had a battle acc skin, mainly because i just wanted another line he shared with katarina and also it'd be so easy to give him a hood. (also he lacks an actual modern theme. all he has is an esports theme and a prestige but the prestige doesnt rly....)
anyway. if kat's at durandal and briar's at babylon... i wonder where talon will go. its interesting because babylon is kinda framed as like, delinquent school i guess. wild school... but like, labrys has garen "mr delinquent" crownguard and also yone.
anyway. maybe talon would fit at durandal since kat is there, but he could just as easily go to babylon and i have no strong feelings one way or the other.
also, while we're here and i've been bumbling around the wiki looking at the battle acc universe page again can i just say that i wish they would do somETHING more concrete with the battle acc world. like it feels floaty and confusing because we haven't been properly set or given something real to chew on. there's so many questions that its a shame nothing has been elaborated on. (this would be an Amazing au for writing short stories, cough cough)
like if each school is a different god weapon AND they call out to students individually then how the fuck are students transferring. if they fail hard enough does one of the other god weapons pspsps them to transfer like huh.
samira teaches advanced acrobatic swordplay. is that standardized across all the schools? because katarina should be in that class too at durandal.
and what do you mean lux isn't even real like she's a fragment of a god weapon thats become a person? this is never elaborated upon. how does that work like even on a basic level? if she's only a fragment does she feel incomplete? is the rest of her somewhere else as someone else? there is much to know and we have not been bestowed any of it, so its started to feel like (for me at least) riot is just making shit up as they go instead of having a pre-planned world they can reveal in pieces.
there's also a problem of it apparently being set in high school again. (explicitly via wukong's bio) while also being rather grim and adult with its backdrop and designs. (samira idk if thats high school appropriate cough cough) and its a shame because riot lacks a fun college/higher education themed setting like that's something they haven't filled in yet and they already had star guardian and heartache/hearthrob.
wow this turned into a mini rant about battle academia. anyway.
i dunno anon. now im thinking that part of me kinda vibes with babylon for talon, or a different school entirely. but it would also be really interesting if no weapon called to talon and instead he infiltrated the school himself because he is fucking desperate to be special and like his sister. (though i would also be fine with like, a weapon calling to him very late, so he transfers from a normal high school to a god weapon school. idk. just ideas)
