It has been much too long since I made a piece of fan art of The Cramp Twins, but if you've been following me over the years, you might understand. Call me a Winkle, because I've slept on this for light years. (A Rip Van Winkle if you will).

You may find this a lot different from my previous fan art of the cartoon series, that's because this one was coloured digitally *gasp*. Yeah, if you've followed my work in the past; you'll know I've always done them in traditional mediums. But I wanted to step out of my comfort zone and try to emulate how the tones and colours looked in the TV series. Besides, it's not like this is my first foray into digital art.

This was originally from a series of studies I've done for a Cramp Twins project I've been doing for a long while now. I depicted Lucien as a Jedi knight and Wayne as Darth Maul; as a way to play around with the characters in a different genre. Also, I've been meaning to do a Star Wars spoof drawing with both these characters, back when I was in that phase of creating so much Cramp Twins fan art.

It was a time in my youth when I was reminiscing on both the books and the tv series, just to show my appreciation for them. These and the Cramp Twin videos are probably what got me recognised online. Considering the position I'm in, you might think I've become nostalgic for my fan nostalgia. That I'm just desperate to recapture that momentum, to fall back on the old song and dance. Well, no I'm trying to move on and sort my stuff out. This was just done for fun is all. But it's only part of a bigger pet project with the technicolored twins.

I've always hoped that the circle of Cramp Twins fans would grow bigger someday, if that's the case, was I responsible for that? If I've raised awareness for this cartoon, if I've helped jogged people's memories of it, if I've changed the consensus of it; than I know I've done right. But that's only half the battle. It's a hill that I'll die on, because if people have been re-evaluating 'The Phantom Menace'; maybe many will do the same for this.

“One bloodstained favor, hand-delivered. We good now?”

Hope (examining the vial): "B-1.116… Just like the patch that broke my game. Cute."

“We broke into a hospital, truly inconspicuous, may have flirted with a janitor, while nobody was watching… y’know, normal Friday.”

Hope delivers a magnetic access card. “This will get you in. What it won’t do is protect you.” (Pause) “Do you know how I got it?”

(She shows them an old family photo)

“Blair Wainwright. My sister. She’s not some random victim. She’s family.”

“We were like shadows of each other. Always side by side. Always pulled in opposite directions.”

“I asked her to infiltrate the project. To spy on our parents. She vanished the same week Marcus Kane died. Coincidence? Never."

“She was brave. Stupid-brave, maybe. But I respect that.”

“She called herself ‘Agent Briar.’ Said it sounded cool. I said it was the least discreet name imaginable. Really, someone called Blair using Briar as a codename?”

“Briar’s more subtle than ‘Agent Lavender Sparklemoon.’ Marginally.”

“She used to say her dream was to become an International Super Spy. I told her she was just a snitch... jokingly.” ... “Now I’d give anything to hear her call me ‘rude’ again.”

“We’ll find her. Not because we owe you—but because nobody deserves to disappear like that.”

“They turned her into something. I don’t know what. But if she’s still in there… she needs us.”

“We’ve faced the Sabbat nightmares, ghoul cops, a former Sage of Untamed Magic, really powerful mad scientists. If anyone can bring her back... it’s us.”

“Even if she’s changed. Even if she’s broken. We’ll try.”

“Bring my sister home. Find Blair.”

(Suzana and Rebecca meet their significant others at the Magenta Dive Bar).

Claudia: “So tomorrow you storm a lab full of secrets and death. Romantic.” Suzana: “I figured if I don’t come back... you should at least remember me in good lighting.”

Rebecca: “If I don’t make it, tell Jeanette she still owes me a dance.” Natasha: “You’re not getting off that easy.”

Can our Kindred heroes handle the twisted family ties of the Hemolith conspiracy? 

Will Blair be found... or has the Dreamwaker already awakened?
