A Leroux based Final Lair screw up.

So: Do you guys think it a possible solution that the Torture Chamber is powered by electricity? If so, would it shut down if you cut the power supply of the house by the lake? Being a soprano, trying to save your lover, left alone for some minutes with the Scorpion ad Grasshopper... how could you cut off the power, causing the Torture Chamber to stop? You don’t know where Erik’s fusebox might be, and you don’t have time to search for it. The easiest way is to cause a short circuit, no? So what happens if I just pick out a light bulb from a table lamp (Erik has one in the Louis Philippe room) and insert a screwdiver/tuning fork/ any metal object to the powered on lamp? Yep. I just got the sick idea of sacrificing myself for Raoul in Christine’s shoes as that act most likely would cause death.
