My whole life, my sense of identity has been linked to long,crazy,red hair. Cutting it short was a spur of the moment decision after a pretty emotional and painful incident. Today my friends amazing stylist mom fixed up my hackjob and made me feel cute and powerful. I don't die of heat the moment I go outside now (I live in a humid area in Florida). This is a big deal for me and shows me that I'm accepting my femininity alongside my nonbinary-ness. First set back

Today was supposed to be a day at the Louvre and Notre Dame but that didn’t happen.  Maclaren has eaten something really didn’t agree with her or come down with a bug. We made it out for lunch which was thankfully close by when she indicated she was going to be sick.  We went back to the apartment to give her time to rest and take some Pepto-Bismol (thank you Theresa Gray!). I guess it worked because cleared her upset stomach more than a few times.  She is now resting and doesn’t think she’ll get sick again.  Thankfully I think she’ll be just fine after some rest.  I can’t figure out what brought it on.  The only thing she ate the Declan and i did not is a nectarine.  I do have banana and toast at the ready when she seems hungry but she is off everything else until I know she is recovered.  

The upside to all of this is on our way back from lunch we passed by all these dress shops so when Maclaren wanted rest I walked back to the shop where I saw a dress I liked.  These shops are all set up to sell to stores so they are wholesalers. Now, I do not believe I got a super deal buy my TJ Maxx buying standards but I did find a dress that I had to bring home with me and will be perfect for work, a nice dinner or cocktails.  To complete my shopping find with a stop at a wine tasking shop and a glass of champagne.  The upside to a sick kid day.

We have time to still see the sites and as long as she is healthy all is good oh, and there is that new dress. :-)
