When it rains, it pours. My dad use to say to me "if it wasn't for bad luck, you'd have no luck" 🤣😅😅 I'm starting to believe that haha 🙃 Sepsis is no joke; I've had it for a while, I guess. I didn't know until I received a frantic call from my doctor to go to the hospital right away! That was a week ago. I haven't been well for a while, and this explained a lot. It also doesn't help that it triggered a full body crisis. I'm not 100%, but I'm fighting my way there. This is the face of a man who has experienced poorly done surgery which lead to blood pooling, then blood poisoning, and for the final act, a full body Sickle Cell crisis... Just 2 days after my birthday. I was feeling great, life was good, on the up and up and things were turning around for the better...but then "dun dun dunnnn"... this happped. It's frustrating. This is the face of a man who is tired, emotionally, mentally, physically, exhausted. I've always been open with y'all, as a means to help spread awareness about Sickle Cell, and in hopes to reaching/helping someone who is struggling with an illness and feels alone. You are not alone, I stand with you. But, even I have my limits. That being said, thank you to everyone who took a moment to wish me a happy birthday this week, or called/messaged me... reading through the comments and posts have kept me sane over the past few days lol. I really do appreciate y'all. This will pass, I have the best support system a man could ever ask for! @isabellalamariposa you are the most amazing woman, ever!Please, don't take your health for granted, be good to yourselves and each other. Thanks to everyone who reached out, sent well wishes, and checked in. Words could never express much I appreciate it! Quick update: I'm out of hospital, still recovering but, so glad to be home. Gotta take it easy for a bit, fingers crossed, I'll be back to my old self in no time! Keeping it positive, got the best support system(@isabellalamariposa 😍❤, close family and friends) a guy could ask for! Just wanted to keep everyone up to date. 😊 Had one of the most painful sickle cell crisis/episodes I've ever had in my life yesterday(like top 5 all time). No sleep cause of the pain. Painkillers not working, had to meet with a chronic pain specialist... After all that, still smiling, enjoying a cup of Timmies. Life is good and I am grateful.
