If this is real, there's no reason I shouldn't own it.
Sid & Steve
Sid Page is an American based violin player who has been playing since the late 1960s. He became a member of Dan Hicks & The Hotlicks replacing violinist David LaFlamme. He was at one time a Member of Sly & The Family Stone from 1973 - 1974 and played on the 1974 album Small Talk.
He has also played with or been on albums by Lynn Anderson, George Benson, Cheap Trick, Cher, Van Morrison, Grover Washington and Stevie Wonder and either played with or on recordings with J.J. Cale, Suzy Bogguss, Harry Connick Jr. He could possibly be in the unique position of being the only artist to have played with Joe Cocker, Suzanne Vega, Richard Thompson, Jerry Garcia.
Page has contributed to the music of at least 29 films including The Moderns in 1988, Little Man Tate in 1991, Cold Creek Manor in 2003. Omg, he played saxophone for Roger Waters.

Sid Page -- After the Hot Licks, Symphony Sid worked with Van Morrison and with Sly Stone for a while, then settled into a successful career making music for movies and other gigs in Southern California, as a concert master and as a solo violinist. If you've seen ''Little Mermaid,'' ''The Horse Whisperer,'' ""The Green Mile,'' ''The Shawshank Redemption,'' ''October Sky'' or dozens of other movies, you've heard Page make music. He's also concert-mastered a number of live shows for performers including Madonna, George Benson, Willie Nelson, U2, Alanis Morisette and others. "I feel really blessed to be able to make a great living playing music,'' he said, ''and at the same time not having to go on the road all the time. ... I'm really looking forward to this show. Ever since I developed a sense of humor I look forward to everything I do. ... My audiences are usually relegated to the producers, John Williams or somebody, and the rest of the orchestra. Not the same energy as playing for the peeps.''
Yesterday, it occurred to me...
I watched the "Sad Score" interview again and I suddenly realized that Sid Page is featured in it, too. In one "scene" he's discussing a part of one of the pieces they are recording.
He's the guy who plays violin on "The Horse Whisperer".
On the "Lemony Snicket" score he is featured among many other violinists.
He either adds "speciality violin" or operates as concert master.
He also played on "Revolutionary Road" and many others.
He is an "All-Terrain" violinst. On his website Sidpageviolin.com there's a list of all the scores he's ever worked on. Here's the scores by Thomas Newman he has played on:
Brothers (2009)
Cinderella Man (2005)
Finding Nemo (2003)
The Good German (2006)
The Green Mile (1999)
The Horse Whisperer (1998)
In The Bedroom (2001)
Jarhead (2005)
Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events (2004)
Revolutionary Road (2008)
Road to Perdition (2002)
The Salton Sea (2002)
The Shawshank Redemption (1994)
Wall-E (2008)
White Oleander (2002)
He has also worked with Hans Zimmer (A League of Their Own, Something's Gotta Give), James Newton Howard (Blood Diamond) and Danny Elfman (Meet The Robinsons).
