Side Episode 1: Shadowverse #1

Translator Notes:

Bonus episode for you all!  This isn’t strictly speaking a Grand Blues! episode since it doesn’t appear in Granblue Fantasy, but it’s close enough.  This comic was put up as part of a crossover event in which Granblue Fantasy characters are being added as Shadowverse cards, and a translation was requested by a Reddit user, so I’ve gone ahead and done that.

Disclaimer: I’ve never played Shadowverse nor do I know anything about it, so while I’ve done my best to do research to try to get all the terminology correct, it’s entirely possible that I’ve gotten something wrong.  Please let me know if so!

Also, would you look at that - it’s a Vyrn name pun that actually worked better in English than in Japanese!  The Japanese name for Shadowverse is Shadoubaasu, and since Vyrn’s Japanese name is Bii, his pun name there was Shadoubiisu, which is a bit of a stretch.  But “Vyrn” almost sounds the same as “Verse”, so hah!  Take that, Japanese!
