Elealeth and the Spider
Scuttling silently the ceiling, the large spider shoots a long string of sticky web at the angel below him. The angel is quickly caught up and pulled upwards, the spider making quick work, wrapping web about the struggling angel’s body. A bite to the neck silences his prey, as Aym the spider tailor completes his work. The angel is not dead, merely unconscious; Aym’s venom is not strong enough to kill and is weak compared to other arachnids that live in Gehenna. The spider has little blood lust and no desire to harm others but this is an invasion and he would defend his home. Aym drags the trussed up angel to join the others he has captured, all wrapped up in web and placed in a hidden cavern. A few hundred of his kin are there to guard the hostages and they greet him with clicks and whistles. One is his mate, she is a beautiful dark green with blue stripes on her thorax. The pair rub their legs against each other in greeting. His mate carries a clutch of eggs beneath her body, Aym is very concerned for his family’s safety.
In the cavern there are also servants, nobles and other demon folk whom the spiders have saved from slaughter, it is a refugee camp of sorts. There are many injured and some close to death. His mate Amber is an expert healer and doing her best to tend to the injured, how proud of her he was!
“Aym, have you found Princess Elealeth yet?” his mate chirrups “I am quite worried about her”
“Do not worry Amber, my dear, I will go seek her out and bring her back here” He replies “I’m sure she is safe”
Aym scuttles away, using the labyrinth of small tunnels to navigate around the citadel, the spaces far too small for a angel to fit in but perfect for a nimble spider to move to and fro. His highly tuned senses sense movement below and he peers with his many eyes to see who was below him. A white haired female is crouched in the tunnel, her skin and clothing blood soaked. She is unmistakable as Satan’s daughter. Aym cannot tell if the blood is her own and panics a little
“Lady Elealeth!” he clicks softly “Are you hurt?”
The hairs on his legs sense movement at the far end of the tunnel; the enemy is heading with speed to Elealeth’s location!
“Quick! Run!” is all he can utter before the angels are upon her
