yeah i think its super weird considering that it's never been an issue before with specifically the term "endersmile" and dream and ranboo.

like first of all, it's a tag that is well known and commonly accepted name in the fandom like... there's no one shipping like fucking... clingy duo in the fucking clingy duo tag. why? because its a WELL KNOWN TAG AMONGST THE COMMUNITY that people can see well!!!

and if thats not equatable enough then like. take dreamling for example? no ones fucking shipping captain puffy and dream in that tag. it's just their dynamic and THATS a similar tag to endersmile????

like people shipping this shit aint just gonna be like readily available for people, like you're going to have to dig a little deeper than surface level fandom shit and thats just common sense for any "oh no guys this is like really shitty and bad we should be more secretive about this behavior" situation or thing.

and yeah!!!! like.... no one in that tag is being weird, and op even acknowledges that which is why im just like... why are you bringing it up then?

like... again the name is largely out of our control on those grounds. like, not everyone will switch to a different name thats what happened with feral boys and people trying to change it to crew boys bc a lot of people (including indigenous people like i said before) just thought it was a nonissue and the name was fine. so the name remains... feral boys. similarly, no one IS shipping dream and ranboo so not everyone is going to change it just to make someone who's not even in this part of the community comfortable -- because it's a non issue.

thats on you that you're uncomfortable. not on us. we know no one is shipping them, there's nothing ACTUALLY wrong happening here. and honestly it's rude of someone to like... subtly suggest otherwise? especially when they don't like the dynamic directly in that tag.

like there are just a lot of flaws in that post and honestly i probably should have just kept my mouth shut because its just one person but like. when i or something i like feels attacked to me im going to impulsively defend it and then go ah fuck that was probably not the best decision.
