1421 – The Battle of Kutná Hora

To Henry in his forties, Sigismund presses a silver coin into his mouth as if he were administering the Holy Eucharist. But behind that dazzling shine lingers the screams of those who were thrown alive into the deep mining pits and left to die. Confronted with that brutal truth, tears of blood that can never be erased stream down Henry’s face.

While preparing for Sigisry Week, I ended up digging up quite a bit of reference material…

I even went as far as converting an actual silver coin bearing his likeness into a 3D model, but then a completely new composition suddenly came to mind… So at the very least, I’m leaving it here as an image because it felt like such a waste to let all that effort go to nothing… sob… damn it

Day 1 - Monastery

For this art, I was greatly inspired by M. Lermontov's poem «Demon». As time goes on, I increasingly perceive the dynamic between Henry and Sigismund, as in this production. I think it became the steering wheel for me in their relationship. And what about the monastery? Well... after all, the Demon tormented Tamara even there :)
