Headcanons Part 4!

Age

-> Nobody, including himself, knows how old he actually is. He looks like an adult, most of the time acts like one... and sometimes ends up acting more like a teen or even child depending on the situation. Mainly because he never was a child. He's probably around 20-23 though.

Used to be a criminal and sometimes it does show

-> While he does not like criminal activities, he wouldn't hesitate to commit a crime if he deems it necessary. Would blackmail the police if he thinks they need "motivation" to actually do their job and would kill for his family, no question asked. He'd feel guilty about most criminal activities, but if it comes to protecting his family? Well, pray that he isn't near a gun.

Height

-> You usually don't see him in shoes that aren't either ones with heels or ones with thick soles. Which means you're fooled about his actual height. He is, in fact, not 1,77m / 5'9. That's his height counting his heels. He's actually just 1,63m / 5'4.17 without his normal shoes.

Hair-styling

-> Whenever he braids his hair it looks like a mess. Ironically, he's gotten rather decent at styling other people's hair. Letting other people do his hair is a sign of trust, though- after all, you have to turn your back for that.

Normalcy

-> His sense of what's normal and what isn't is kinda messed up. Which sometimes makes him question things that should be obvious- for example, help. It's his fault, why would anyone help? Also sometimes assumes that some stuff is normal that absolutely isn't- he's learning, though.

OOC: Headcanons part 3!

The traffickers left marks on him, mentally and physically

->There are scars on his wrists where the shackles used to be, so he always wears long sleeves. His time with the traffickers is also why he's usually trying to make sure he's being useful/that everyone else is alright, among other things.

Rarely cusses

->Absolutely knows swear words but the biggest you'll usually get from him is "dammit" if he's really stressed. If frustrated enough he will say worse but that happens very rarely.

Loyal

->He's loyal to a fault. It takes a lot for him to stop trusting someone once they've gained his trust, which makes him kind of naive. Even if that trust is broken in any way, he's still likely to help depending on how and why that trust was lost. Also means that he'd do a lot for those he considers family.

Stir-crazy when confined into a room

->Specifically one, single room. He's fine being stuck in the house, but if it's a single room he'll be pacing after not even ten minutes. Especially when left alone. Won't leave the room if asked to stay in it though.

Hugs

->Absolutely loves hugs but has a hard time asking for them. If he does outright ask for a hug it's a huge sign of trust. Does offer them when he thinks someone needs them though. Doesn't mind surprise hugs but might initially flinch when he's stressed or over thinking stuff- or if he has a bad day.

Ability

->He's a bit torn when it comes to his ability and dislikes using it because of what happened whenever he showed someone. Another huge sign of trust when he does offer using it because he's scared of it being used against him again. Tries to avoid using Information Exchange unless he sees it as the best solution/only way.

OOC: Headcanons Part 2!

He learned Japanese and one other language by using his ability rather than knowing it from the get-go.

->His ability knocked him out for a good day and a half each time, which is why he learned Russian the old fashioned way.

Sigma hates talking about how his ability was discovered and tends to give extremely vague answers.

->He refuses to explain what, exactly, went down.

Has a tendency to get extremely little sleep and often only gets two or three hours of sleep.

->The reasons vary from memories to simply being used to running on few hours of sleep.

He still feels guilty about the whole "terrorist" thing and regrets ever being part of the Decay of Angels.

->Did try to apologize to everyone directly involved.

There was a time (before even the Decay of Angels) where he was really, really quiet. "Speak only when spoken to" type of quiet. To the point were people outright forgot he was in the room.

->This was a direct result of being captured by the traffickers.

OOC: Headcanons Part 1!

While he's anything but picky, he likes anything sweet with a preference for cookies, cakes and brownies.

->His absolutely favorite are chocolate chip cookies.

Has a hard time dropping things like "Mrs", "Mr", "Sir", etc. when it comes to authority figures. On the other hand, he asks people to just call him by name.

->Also calls people he doesn't know very well or respects a lot "Mrs", "Mr", "Sir", etc.

His handwriting looks either fancy, or like chickenscratch, no inbetween.

->Mostly the fancy handwriting is when he concentrates on not messing up the spelling.

He stress bakes sometimes, but he also bakes when he has nothing better to do.

->He tends to make too much, so most of the time he has enough to share.

Once, while still working at Sky Casino, he dyed his hair entirely purple because he got insecure about the fact that it just naturally looks like that and people sometimes stared.

->He hated it with a passion, but luckily it washed out after a month.

SIGMA WITH AN S/O WHO USES A WALKER

if he didn't know you when you first got your walker, he doesn't press at all to know why you have it or what it's for, which is generally kind of refreshing considering how nosy some people can get

makes sure to check online if you're ever going somewhere new to make sure it's accessible first

he isn't averse to telling people off for misusing things that you need, like if someone's kids are playing on a ramp up to somewhere and their parents won't tell them to let you past ("who plays on a ramp" idk i used to run up and down them as a kid 😭)

if you ever go on walks, he always joins you just to make sure things are alright and if anything happens you aren't on your own, whether it's you struggling with something or people being twatty

very adamant that you tell him if he's accidentally being patronising; he wants to offer help when you need it, not baby you, so knowing means he can adjust his behaviour to properly fit you

doesn't really treat you any different beyond that, honestly, or see you as a burden. he's generally a very patient, caring person. he loves you the exact same as he would if you didn't need to use a walker

ADA!SIGMA WITH A READER WHO WORKS THE NIGHT SHIFT

honestly the two of you only properly met by chance, he'd seen you around every now and then of course but nothing really to warrant anything more than conversations about work

however, sigma happened to be staying late to finish up some work on a day you were working

an unexpected shock for you ngl, expecting everyone to be gone by the time you showed up and then just seeing a whole guy still sitting there

if he scared you he feels really bad and will apologise a few times 😭

i'm imagining a night shift at the agency as like; finishing up any odd jobs that weren't finished during the day, doing any outstanding paperwork and organising, honestly mostly just a role created so there would be people in the office at night to call people in in case of a mafia attack

so generally pretty slow. and kind of boring ngl, especially when having to do it alone

ever diligent with his work, sigma sits in a comfortable silence with you as you each do your own tasks, but when he's done and about to go home, he stops to ask if it's just you on this shift, and offers to stay and keep you company since he's not working tomorrow, so staying up wouldn't be so bad

he helps you with your work where he's able to, and by the time it's done and you're technically just there in the case of an emergency, you start talking and getting to know each other

kunikida (yes he is always the first in in a morning don't tell me otherwise) sees sigma leaving with you when your shift is over and bros baffled god help this man

sigma probably booked himself a lecture of "ok doing extra for your job is good and shows enthusiasm but that doesn't mean taking an extra shift unannounced and unpaid straight after your actual shift thats not good for you" from kunikida with that stunt but oh well

becomes a weekly thing that he'll just join you for that shift since he isn't working the next day

likes walking you home to the silly little agency provided apartments at the end of the shift- eventually, after you've gotten to know each other enough for that to not be strange

at some point he ends up telling you about his old casino, opening up about how he still sometimes struggles with trust despite the ada having been a safe space for him, and how he's thankful that he's been able to make friends with you and that you both enjoy spending time together

anyway so not long after that little heart to heart about being good friends you start dating- SJDJFJ

i don't think he's the type of person to make a big deal out of the fact you're dating- like no big announcement, not really any announcement. it's not really something he wants to keep secret he just doesn't want to seem like he's showing off

the only people on his shift who know are probably atsushi (sigma and atsushi are besties don't tell me otherwise), ranpo (because of course he would) and dazai- i feel like sigma would mention it to dazai after some time but he already would have known bc idk he seems really good at picking up on things he'd probably clock how happy sigma is about things to do with you etc

he gets super worried and goes to like stay with you if he hears that like someone tried to infiltrate the agency while you were on shift

like even if he knows you're not hurt. he wants to stay with you to make sure you feel safe and not alone

if you are hurt though? he's so gentle and caring. if it's not something so bad that you'd need yosano's treatment, he'll do everything he can to look after you until you're better

he's never really done this before but he's trying his best. and it's also really sweet and wholesome ;u;

someone needs to give him back the several guns he used to own (i still think it's hilarious that he's randomly pulled out 3 guns in the manga so far) though so he can protect you if someone breaks in when you're on shift together

i feel like stay at home dates would be common, they're easier to do with little to no planning and are generally more spontaneous which fits your conflicting work schedules

sigma also doesn't want you to be too tired out by going on a day out and be tired for your shift 😭

baking probably cookies, cuddling while watching a film, etc

he'd probably also stay over with you a lot, not too much to be overbearing, but still often. as due to work schedules he wants to make the most out of free time- when you're willing- to spend time with each other

just, like.. you're there. and you're probably the first person he's been with, and there's just something comforting about being able to be with you (he's touch starve-)
