Displacement

The dream work consists of two main mechanism  of the dream work are Condemsation and Displacement. Condempsation takes the essensial symmbols of the dream and distils them intoa over determined unity. If one studies the dream work one can see the angule in which desire expresses in a particular symbolic unit. At the same time the dream is doing another work called displacement there  the essential symbols of the dream, the ways in which the dream is attempting to manifest desire    is not expressed in themselves but rahter displaced onto sometimes obscurely related ideas or symbols , images or activitities  that the interpreter or the dreamer is often trying to decode in order to analyse and understand. Displacement is a detour(metonomy)  and condempsation is a destilation of the understanding   (metaphor)
