I read a fix once where Phil's dad dies and he takes Clint with him home for the funeral. Lots of relatives and drama. In the end I think the avengers assemble and Phil's real job is revealed. Please help, this is driving me crazy!

My searching has failed me so I turn to the guru's. This is kind of vague but definitely a C/C. Clint was a drifter that played for money. I'm pretty sure it was a guitar. I'm also pretty sure it had Skye in it in some way. I just can't remember in what capacity or who else was in the story. Phil was a store owner, maybe? Pretty recent story... over the past 3 or 4 months. Sorry for the lack of info.

Still struggling on with my multi-parter. I've decided my problem is that I'm putting too much time into re-writing scenes from canon and not enough into adding new material. That seems legit. So I'm going to come back to this chapter tomorrow and focus on new stuff instead of re-doing old stuff.
However, I have now started both my big bangs. In very small ways. I've done the first scene of the one I'm co-writing and committed something to paper for the ClintCoulson coffee shop/singer-songwriter AU. Though every time I think I know just what I'm doing with that AU I change my mind. It was going to all be from Clint's POV but now I'm thinking that Phil might be the real person the story's about with shorter scenes from Clint's POV? I have a plan, we'll see how it works.
There was one particular fic that I cut my teeth on and it was glorious. I believe it was a D/S AU, and sub!Clint decided to hand himself into SHIELD before he was caught. He expected Phil to Dom him even though Clint didn't want him to, and Phil was all kinds of patient and understanding. I think the main part of it was them travelling across the country to get to headquarters, staying in motels and such. Thanks!
