i need fics where matt and clint become friends as kids. i know they aren't the exact same age and they have VERY different storylines in different parts of the globe but we jump through so many hoops for ANY fanfic so i think we can do it for this as well

Ch.2: Lost and Found

Ohio State Fair,

November 6th, 1993

 Natasha swung the car door behind her, breathing in the crisp November air while adjusting the straps of her backpack. Tighter, closer.

There had been rain, a vicious downpour that had lasted well into the week, burying Cincinnati under a dome of thick mist. Something inside her still longed for summer and its breezy afternoons spent reading on the porch, for the smell of chlorine at the communal pool and the blue popsicles that stained her tongue. Not gone, that bliss, just out of sight.

Her nose scrunched up at the memory as she trampled over the now fallen yellow leaves, boots already covered in mud.

Autumn had surprised her. She wasn’t used to seasons changing just like that, so tangibly, without permission. There’d only been a tiny window at the academy, barred up tinted glass, barely enough to notice the swarms of red and orange littering the ground. There, fall was but a bridge, steep and slippery, straight to an unforgiving winter.

She received a sweater every year, not too unlike her current, though flimsier. Grey, to match the walls and help her be invisible. To show when she was sweating, to out her when she was bleeding. And blood used to look so odd when it got on it, like a petri dish of broken promises and lost potential, of pain and regret, seeping, staining, dripping.

“Help.”

Yelena tugged at her sleeve, staring disapprovingly at her untied shoe laces.

“I told you to put your rainboots on, didn’t I?” Natasha’s voice came flat, perhaps mildly annoyed, though she still knelt down to take care of the rogue ties.

“Thank you, Tasha.”

She felt Yelena lightly tap her on the head, already shifting her attention to what awaited them beyond the gate.

Clint & Tony to young children (below 10), Bruce to a toddler (whose tantrums involve hulking out to bb!hulk), Natasha & Steve back to teenagers (with scrawny!Steve).

In which Hulk is a baby, Natasha and Steve know they aren't real teenagers, Clint and Tony behave badly, and Maria Hill is not a parent but Coulson might be.

again not clint centric but this is like my fave fic ever????? and clint is perfecty handled it’s wonderful i cannot recommend this fic enough. 5k+ deaged avengers madness (thors also in it and also deaged)

They’re the broken ones. That’s what Clint figures the rest think about him and Barnes. Clint with his eardrums trashed, Barnes with a regiment’s worth of trauma and a psychotic cybernetic arm, put in the same room and told to make nice while the others get to go on missions and do important things and save the world.

Well they're not broken. So of course they got bored and tired of being sidelined and decided to entertain themselves. And of course they ended up wanted, running through the streets of Paris with bananas down their pants and gendarmes in pursuit. Of course they did.

no real parings!!!! just clint and bucky friendship, features baking, younger bucky, young clint, some feelings and a sweet narrative style. 27k+ big fan +++ 616/mcu verse

the plot is basically.... bucky’s having a rough time being not the winter soldier anymore and so he and clint bake a lot. duh

It's just a normal day at the office: an alien invasion, the Avengers assemble and fight, and they lose radio contact with Barton. Except that this time, it's not really a normal day at all, as Phil Coulson finds out soon enough when he is confronted with a three year old Clint Barton and no idea what happened.
