Styczeń w Krakowie - relacja

Rok 2020 w krakowskim Klubie z Kawą nad Książką rozpoczęłyśmy od "Przyjaciela". To pierwsza wydana w Polsce powieść amerykańskiej pisarki Sigrid Nunez. 

Główna bohaterka po śmierci przyjaciela bierze pod opiekę jego psa -  doga arlekina.Wątek psi zachęcił nas do wyboru tej książki i to właśnie relacja człowieka i zwierzęcia była jednym z głównych tematów naszej rozmowy. Rozmawiałyśmy także o tym, w jak różny sposób ludzie przeżywają żałobę. Naszą uwagę zwróciły również liczne odniesienia literackie oraz refleksje na temat pisarstwa - bohaterka (podobnie jak sama autorka) jest nauczycielką kreatywnego pisania, zatem powieść pełna jest tego typu smaczków. "Przyjaciel" zebrał w naszym gronie pozytywne opinie. Polecamy nie tylko miłośnikom zwierząt.
