"You and Jiraya-sensei are made for each other..."
...you take that back right now
“Those who do not understand the snuggle will never understand true peace.”
This is true!
However, it also applies to him. For he does not understand the snuggle. His idea of the snuggle is imperfect, too authoritarian. Is not the true form of the snuggle. The snuggle is not hard and forceful, is soft and welcoming! Does not force one to partake, but is always keeping the door open and the spot available.
"Konan." Nagato's voice is quiet and raspy. He is tired from exerting himself during the sealing of the six tail slug. With most of the members dead. sans Zetsu, Kisame, Konan and Tobi, he substituted the Six Paths of Pein for the other members during the Nine Dragons Sealing Technique, Having to channel their chakra into the statue was extremely taxing on the Uzumaki. Had it not been for his vast reserves, he would have died. "Our plan is almost to fruition. Soon the world will know peace." says @siixpaths Nagato to Konan, unprompted.
“Nagato. .” Konan answers the call of her name with his. Though his voice sounded excited to be close to their goal, hers held concern.
She approaches his position slowly, worried expression fixated on his hunched over form filled with black receivers. That last extraction had taken a lot out of him— Too much for comfort. It’s for the dream, she tries to remind herself, though it does little to ease her concern. He couldn’t do this again, she decides. She wouldn’t allow it. His dream could not become reality if he died.
And her dream was to see his dream become a reality. And this could not be if she could not protect him.
“We’ll find new members.” Konan states as she gets closer. Her voice was even, though it was an octave higher than normal; It was obvious she was worried. So worried as to even say something as silly as ‘we’ll find new members,’ which was a near-impossible task this late in the game. “We cannot rely on the Paths of Pain again. It takes too much out of you.”
@siixpaths -- ;
“It’s really you, isn’t it?”
Fusou’s voice sounded so broken, even to her. But, how else was she supposed to comprehend everything she’d learned? Her boy--her darling boy, who she loved more than life itself--had no only been alive, but had caused untold destruction and had nearly succeeded in becoming a veritable contra mundi. To hear that her son had been responsible for so much evil broke her heart, but she loved him all the same. Even if Fusou wept for what had shaped him that way, of never learning what had become of him, of thinking he was dead. Was she a terrible mother for being resigned to that? For having stopped looking? For not being there to guide him away from the gentle boy he’d once been?
Even if it wasn’t, it felt like her fault, utterly and totally.
“I’m so sorry, Nagato. I really messed up by not being there for you, didn’t I?”
siixpaths said: Can Nagato join Uzu?
“ sorry no naruto apologists allowed. ”
@siixpaths whispered: "This chakra...So, sensei had a child. You shall join him as well."
...never has she felt such a varied, volatile mix of emotions.
The primary is apprehension. While her teacher’s branch of sage training has all but eliminated a fear of death...she still knows this is not a very survivable situation. Akatsuki - let alone its leader - is a bit beyond her scope. Her spine is tightened to a degree she swears she can hear it creak.
And yet secondary is what begins as shock...fades into a deep sorrow...and then rises up into a fury that makes her tremble. This...this is the one who killed Jiraiya. Took the last piece of family she’d found after so long of being alone...and then ripped it back out of her heart. And if the title they give Jiraiya is true...they were his student...? Why kill him...?!
It takes every ounce of her self control not to launch into a state of mindless anger fueled by volatile chakra.
“...I hope you don’t expect me to simply submit just because you bested him before me,” is her reply, trying desperately to think of what to do. She has barriers...but they’ll only last her so long. There’s no telling if, or when, help would come. Or if that would at all change her odds. She could summon someone. Monban, to try and flee...or Suigin, to try and fight. But if any of them got hurt - let alone killed - due to her selfish act of bringing them before someone like Pein...she’d never forgive herself, even in death.
So she stares back at this...person, with an unreadable expression. But white chakra flares over her shaking hands, pupils narrowing. If there’s no escape, then...she’ll face death head on.
As she’s sure her father did.

Danzo-Kun has been a bad bad boomer. Time for Pein to rip out this old fucker’s soul and send him to the Pure Lands. Six avatars with facial piercings and orange hair surround the Elder, all bearing the same grim, neutral expression upon their faces. “Times up,!Shimura Danzo. I shall tear down all who follow in your footsteps.”
