#Filibus was a precursor to the #JamesBondFranchise & it surprises me that this wasn't mentioned. Instead of a man, the #Spy & #FullOfCapers, was played by a woman, in this #SilentEraFilm (#Italy #1915). Nearly all the best-known concepts of those #IanFleming-based films are there...goofy plot devices, gadgets, a cat 🐱 from a tomb from #PharonicEgypt w/DiamondEyes, that get replaced w/a hidden camera 🎥 & oodles of crazed ideas acted by #CristinaRuspoli. She played 3 characters & for one of them #CrossDressed as a man. What toilet shall #DonaldTrump offer to one who is smarter than he? (That would damned near be the #immediatecountryside. This could have easily turned into a franchise, but #WorldWarI ruined Europe & we are still paying for that. We never learn. (at Castro Theatre)
