i decided to turn it into scooters (woulda been motorbikes but u cant ride those without helmets and uhhh i already did the lines by the time i thoughta that. kaiba corp forcefield protects them) so i could have them ride together and it be romantic (at least on serenity's part, up to interpretation) (: thanks for the requests, both of you!!

Euroshipping: Seto Kaiba x Ryou Bakura

There are so many Yu-Gi-Oh ships that come down to "these nerds would be so obsessive together" and this is absolutely one of them. There's not a ton in common between the two of them, except that they're both on the fringes of the Yugang and have deeply strong affinity for a special game that got them through their childhood. They both have links to Ancient Egypt that aren't exactly positive, and both need tons of therapy. I ship them quite hard, personally; I think Ryou could have the ability to soothe Kaiba's soul.

Puppyshipping: Seto Kaiba x Joey Wheeler

This one is hard to keep brief, but I'll try. They're narrative foils of each other with a lot of similar motivations, but their values differ. It's not just a "they gate each other, so they need to kiss" ship, but it can be that too lol. They make each other better. They make each other worse. They're two sides of the same coin. They're too similar, and that's why they don't get along, but it's also why they fall in love.

Antagoshipping: Seto Kaiba x Yami Bakura

They would make each other worse in the most entertaining way. These are two characters that home incredible grudges and never let anything go, so then teaming up (against Yugi) could easily be catastrophic to the entire world—especially if you take the Season Zero versions of them. Delicious toxic yaoi 😘👌 But! It also doesn't have to be! @iamallyetnotatall has a great fic that covers it in Twelve Years Waiting

Silentshipping: Seto Kaiba x Serenity Wheeler

Let's pretend this is post canon and everybody's an adult. There's typically two ways I see this ship done: First, that Kaiba is dating Joey's sister out of spite (and maybe falls in love with her for real); Second, that Serenity's presence during Battle City and her little speech to Kaiba about mercy actually made a lasting impression that makes him want to be a better person. It could be cute or awful, and that's kind of fun imo.

so imagine when Mai notices her crush on Joey just getting bigger and bigger she kinda feels like a dirty old woman. but it's okay! some time and distance and most of all no more life and death situations to fuel any feeling are just what she needs

most of all she won't ride back into Domino City the moment Joey is off-age, no sir

so when Mai does come back, it's been a few years, she understands all her feelings and she is ready to talk about them

she doesn't really know where Joey works or lives for that matter but Yugi is easy enough to find and he tells her that Joey's at the park

it's a beautiful summer day, the sun is shining and there Joey is, sleeves pushed up, sweat glistening on his brow, calm down girl, you're supposed to be the cool one here

Joey sees her and breaks into a grin and actually, this is easy. it doesn't matter that they haven't seen each other in years, what's between them is strong enough to last through the distance

except there's a tiny blonde child barreling into Joey's legs and he picks them up with a laugh

"Sweetie, come meet Auntie Mai!"

so here Mai is, having a mental breakdown because someone else swooped in and locked that down

except that's Joey's nibling

Seto Kaiba loves his child but he will forever be bitter that Serenity gave birth to a carbon copy of her brother. like seriously, there is NO TRACE of either of them. a Tiny Joey Wheeler is regularly toddling after Mokuba at work, or sitting in Seto's lap in meetings

Been pondering. Rumi and Echo yuriful situationship. This drawing sucks but basically I like to think she upgraded them herself and it was mildly confusing and frustrating because they're steam powered and she was not. Familiar with that

They are special to me I think they understood each other in a way no one else could. They were the family they needed their anger sort of unified them. In my DR au they're not dating anymore ofc bc I doubt their relationship would've been like. Totally healthy. But they're not like exactly just friends? They've got a special secret third thing going on idk I'm the rambler anyways I care them very much and they care each other very much maybe I'll talk abt them more some other time

Serenity and Kisara are may the same person?

Some Silentshippers speculate that Serenity and Kisara could be the same person. And the artist Setsunakou has also taken up this idea in her artworks. Among others in this picture. ~*~ L O O K: Both have those trademark eyes that Kishimoto uses for most of his female characters. Mai and Ishizu, for example, have different eye shapes that make them look a little more grown-up. Important to note: Serenity's previous design even had blue eyes, like Kisara.

Now let's get to the hair. As you can see from Seto and Mahad, the incarnated people do not necessarily to have exactly the same appearance. Seto's Egyptian version has longer hair and Mahad, as a magician, has a different hair color. So Kisara's incarnation may have shorter hair and a different hair color. The fact that Serenity doesn't have her hair on her face isn't a sign that she couldn't be Kisara. Look here:

The old version of Joey Wheeler had the same parted hair as Serenity. In the new version they fall in his face. When Akiza from 5D's opens her hair, it looks almost exactly like Kisara's. So if Serenity put her hair over her face, she would look almost exactly like Kisara. C H A R A K T E R: Let's try to assign character traits to the two. Serenity: Good-natured, gentle, a little naive, compassionate, shy, vulnerable, have her inner strength, optimistic, fragile. Kisara: Mysterious, lonely, shy, calm, sometimes a little self-confident. Ine the manga more passive, lonly and tired of life.

I looked for the characteristics from the relevant wikis. So they are not mine. Kisara and Serenity seem pretty weak at first glance. Seto even had to save Kisara twice, because she didn't know how to help herself. Serenity, on the other hand, is very attached to her big brother and lets him protect her. Tristan also sacrificed himself for her in the duel against Nezwitt in the virtual world. Both are quite shy and reserved, even seem a little fragile. Both are very gentle and have their inner strength that comes out in crucial moments. The differences Serenity seems to be cheerful, naive and a little more dependent than Kisara. On the other hand, Kisara makes a rather mysterious and lonely impression. But that also has to do with how they grew up. Serenity always had the protection and love of her mother and brother. Kisara, on the other hand, seemed to have had no one. Especially since she was captured by slave traders, stoned and had to fight alone against monsters. If Kisara had grown up as sheltered as Serenity, her character would not have been any different. S E T O ` S R E A C T I O N: I'm talking about Seto Kaiba here, not Priest Seto. Just to be able to classify it. When he met Kisara, he was extremely shocked because he recognized her from a vision of himself. He had this vision after Battle City and the Virtual World. When he meets Serenty, he reacts quite calmly, indirectly fulfills his request and his gaze rests on her for quite a long time. So it could be that he subconsciously recognized her but couldn't place her. As I said, he only knew Kisara from one of the visions he had after his meeting with Serenity. ~*~ It will probably remain just a theory. But to me it makes perfect sense. What do you think about that?
