28/02/22 | Week 14/27 of thesis work
I'm still reading Reality Show by Anne Freytag, the second book I'm reading in German, and I'm starting to get into it now that I'm about 100 pages in.
The thesis work is going slow, almost like moving through quicksand. I'm still making progress which is good. It just feels like I'm moving too slowly. The flaky internet hasn't been helping with it. On the positive side, it has given me a chance to take some rest and refocus for a few days.
I can't believe it's March tomorrow, how is time still moving so quickly?
I hope everyone is doing well considering all the things going on in the world at the moment.
01/05/21 - 02/05/21| 20-21/100
I attempted a doodled version of my library spot because I'm procrastinating doing my work 😅
It turned out to be a pretty productive day in the end so I'm proud of myself!
To reward myself I went for a walk and a coffee with a friend on Sunday which was so much fun and very necessary to keep my sanity.
I hope everyone is doing okay!
Presentation update: everything went well and the PI of the group I've been working with remotely was quite happy with my Presentation and what I've managed to do in the 9 months thesis period. Turns out the tears and nerves weren't really necessary.
Best part is, I might be able to do my second master's thesis in the same group (but on a different project) if things work out with a professor at my home university and from there they might have a PhD position available for me! Which would be totally insane
My brain is currently play a game called: is it procrastination because I'm scared of failure or is it exhaustion bordering on burnout.
If someone has any idea on how to separate the two let me know because staring at my code without making any progress is starting to get to me 😅
I think I've found my way back to an old hobby of mine
