there’s probably a cat in like silkweaverclan named some shit like twinepurr or pillowpuff and then you see them and they’re actually this bloodthirsty maniac who would shred a coyote on sight

what kind of prey do each clan primarily hunt?

Silkweaverclan — Lizards, scorpions, mice

Stonecutterclan — Rats, bats, fish

Colorfastclan — Birds, mice, snakes

Topaz is a stone cutter, do any of the other clans have a job equivalent to that?

Probably, though not nearly as important as the stonecutter

While the stonecutter makes most of the pieces in stonecutterclan, in the other two clans all the cats contribute more equally to their art

Stonecutterclan is slightly different because they have a much closer spiritual connection to the ancestors, so the stonecutter takes on the highest spiritual role

(Though, the other cats in stonecutterclan do make their own pieces often, the stonecutter mostly makes the pieces for warrior ceremonies and such)

Also unrelated to the ask but because i keep using the word “spiritual” I will also clarify that while it could be an interesting concept for the cats, the “metaphysical crystal healing” stuff some people believe in is NOT canon to the chihuahuan clans. i don’t really like that stuff for several reasons (worker exploitation, replacement of actual medical care, people being irresponsible with potentially poisonous rocks, and also i think rocks should be appreciated for what they are, not what people think they can do for us, etc) HOWEVER the stones can do other interesting things solely because of their starclan connection
