Loudclan - Moon 28: Part 1

As the last months of spring begin to fade into summer, the days grow longer, and the sun begins to beat down on the exposed Loudclan camp, turning young minds to thoughts of a more serious futrue. Songkit asks to speak to Owlstar.

Songkit has chosen to train as a healer, thus removing him from the line of succession. Though it may not be what he would have chosen otherwise, Songkit feels a weight lifted off of his shoulders.

[Me and this moon have beef, let me tell you. It was not meant to be two parts but I am slowly losing the plot in regards to cat anatomy so I need to buy myself time to do some studies so that drawing doesn't feel like wading thru lava. Anyway, regardless of how not fun this one was to draw, I do like the end result! Look at my baby boy! Does he have well adjusted and healthy feelings about his parentage? NO! Is he trying his best? Yes! And that's all we can ask of him, really.]

Snailstep: *teasing* Wow, you are really bad at this.

Silt: *glares daggers at Snail*

Snail: *Grins back impishly*

Silt: *suddenly grins back and splashes water into Snail's face*

Snail: *laughing* Hey!

Silt: whoops, missed the minnow. But hold still, here comes a really big one! *pounces, splashing water everywhere*

Snail: *dancing out of the way, still laughing* that's my foot, asshole!

I just feel like Snailstep would be able to relate to Siltsplash from @loudclan-clangen . Snail’s mate took a new mate in the same moon she was “lost”, and she later nursed her Ex’s kit when his mate died.

What even are backgrounds?

snail isn’t a clangen cat… I just like to use the game aesthetic sometimes.

Loudclan - Moon 30.5

At a gathering, under the midnight sun, Siltsplash reconnects with their brother, the heir to Shadedclan.

Siltsplash is considering what a life outside Loudclan would look like.

In the meantime, they connect with an old friend.

SUPRISE! We have been cooking this for a couple of weeks now and it turned out so great! This was so SO fun, we both wrote scripts for each other to format and draw, and it was really refreshing to step away from Loudclan and draw someone else's characters for a sec! I hope you all love both pieces as much as I do! Thanks again @apathysack, loved doing this! Now you, reader, go look at their post!

Loudclan - Moon 30:

Time does not stop, and so the clan must move forward. They welcome Cavedew as their newest warrior, honoring him for his wit. For possibly the first time ever, Siltsplash decides to take a break, and thus his younger brother Erminepaw is apprenticed to Chickadeeblur.

Now an apprentice, Erminepaw is not shy about the fact that he has more interest in hanging out with Songpaw than he does in training to be a warrior.

Unfortunately for Songpaw, this means he won't be getting a break from his new crush anytime soon.

Meanwhile, Kingfur and Sockeyepelt come across a trespassing loner.

Axel is accepted into Loudclan, and takes the clan name Axeldawn.

Short and sweet! Just what we need after last moon! Erminepaw give our poor boy a break he's gonna have a heart attack. It's not like it's Songpaw's first crush, he has a big ol crush on Rosehiptree, but that's different, that's not something that could actually happen, Rosehip's older and cooler and way out of his league, so there's no pressure there. But Erminepaw, Erminepaw is right there with him all the time and now he's tall and he has no concept of personal space and Songpaw doesn't have any idea what to do about it. Also don't believe for a second that Siltsplash didn't know what they were doing. Out of all of Songpaw's possible mate choices in the clan Ermine is their favorite, so they are more than willing to assign him to herb gathering whenever he wishes. Sockeyepelt, on the other hand, has been officially ordered by Chickadeeblur to "give Axeldawn some space". She's just excited to have someone new to fawn over, Juneaucliff, Jaggedtail, and Peakpatch were getting boring, especially with Jagged and Peak spending so much time together. Axeldawn doesn't really mind the attention, he'd just like some time to adjust to clan life first. Anyway, loving seeing all of the people breaking out their detective skills on the last post! The correct answers, at least the ones I was intentionally foreshadowing, were Jagged x Peak, Song x Ermine, and Song x Rosehip. Not all of these new crushes are going anywhere, Song's crush on Rose is obviously fully one sided until he grows up, but they're fun while they last!

Loudclan - Moon 24

Kingpaw is honored for his valiance while fighting the eagle last moon, earning the name Kingfur. His sisters are reasonably jealous.

After a conversation with Siltsplash Chickadeeblur has realised that they no longer identify as a tom.

While assessing Cavekit for his apprenticeship, the healers discover that he was born with a twisted leg.

Regardless, Cavepaw is apprenticed to Siltsplash.

[Another apprentice! Because apparently Silt does not know the meaning of "taking a break". Wanted to take this calmer moon to practice some simple shading and backgrounds before we get into the events of the next year.]

Loudclan - Moon 22: Part 2

The clan receives the news of Eklutna's death in the early hours of the morning. Owlstar asks his mate Siltsplash to take a walk out of camp with him.

Siltsplash breaks up with Owlstar, unable to reckon with his betrayal, but they take his kittens as their own, naming them Songkit, a sweet tom, Dashkit, a quiet tom, and Dancekit, an inquisitive tom. Owlstar is only allowed to visit when Siltsplash is out of the nursery.

[We're back baby! Yay! Owlstar is the baby-daddy! Not yay! This event was the singular thing that made me decide to stick with Loudclan. I needed to know where this shit-show ended up. Owlstar gets to see his kits plenty, don't worry about him, he's just trying to whine his way back into Siltsplash's good graces but Fiercestripe and Weed aren't going to stand for that. Eklutna did manage to make Owlstar the only member of the clan more hated than her, so that's something! Also the "ghost" is not really a ghost it's a hallucination for Siltsplash. You can tell because Eklutna's ghost would not have stayed silent for that long. She has THOUGHTS about Siltsplash raising her kits and those thoughts are "ABSOLUTELY FUCKING NOT!" Guys I messed up, Dancekit is inquisitive, not quiet, my bad.]
