Racing Through Life / Ronny Robinson x Sibling! Gender Neutral Reader
Headcanons about you, the reader, being Ronny’s sibling and also a Ranger.
A/n: This was requested by an anon. I hope you enjoy it! PS: I haven’t watched Operation Overdrive in ages. So, forgive me if there’s some mischaracterization.
— How is their dynamic as siblings?—
Y/n and Ronny have the kind of sibling bond where they’re always teasing each other but will throw hands for one another at a moment’s notice.
Ronny hypes Y/n up more than anyone—whether it’s training, missions, or just random challenges, she’s always in their corner.
On bad days, she’ll take them for a ride in one of her cars, blasting music to get their mind off things.
Y/n does the same for her by being the one person she can be vulnerable with—when the pressure of being a Power Ranger and a famous racer gets to her, they remind Ronny that she’s more than her achievements.
If anyone messes with Y/n outside of battle, Ronny immediately switches to big sister mode. “You got a problem with my sibling? ‘Cause I will race circles around you till you cry.”
She loves embarrassing Y/n in front of a crush, casually mentioning their childhood antics just to see them groan.
They both have ridiculous inside jokes that no one else understands. Dax once tried to keep up but gave up after five minutes.
Y/n once dared Ronny to race an obstacle course in a ridiculous outfit, and she did it—because she never backs down from a challenge.
The sibling rivalry is real, but at the end of the day, if Y/n had to choose anyone to fight alongside, it would always be Ronny.
Y/n and Ronny are constantly competing—who can finish training exercises first, who can defeat the most enemies in battle, and who can eat more pizza in one sitting. The others don’t even question it anymore.
Whenever Y/n wins, Ronny is so dramatic about it. “Okay, okay, you win this round, but I let you win. Obviously.”
When she wins, she’ll remind Y/n of it for weeks. Mack once had to step in just to make her stop bringing up a training match she won.
Ronny loves teasing Y/n, and they always have a comeback ready.
“So, you gonna trip over your own feet again today, or are you actually gonna keep up with me?”
“At least I don’t get stuck in walls when I use my speed.”
“…You bring that up one time and suddenly it’s a personality trait.”
The team witnessed the two go back and forth for a full ten minutes before anyone could get a word in.
Even though they roast each other constantly if anyone else tries to insult Y/n? Ronny’s immediately like, “Oh, you must be new here. Only I get to make fun of them.”
— How is their dynamic as Power Rangers?—
Y/n and Ronny have flawless teamwork on the battlefield. She’s fast, they’re strategic, and together, they overwhelm enemies before they can react.
If she rushes in too fast, Y/n’s the one reminding her to slow down. “Ronny, wait—” too late, she’s already mid-attack.
Sometimes, though, their combined confidence makes them both reckless, leading to Spencer sighing and Mack shaking his head when the siblings return to the base covered in bruises.
“You two have to stop jumping into things without backup,” Will grumbles.
“But we won, didn’t we?” Ronny smirks, and Y/n high-fives her.
Everyone groans, but deep down, they know the two are one of the best duos in the team.
If one of them lands a cool hit, the other hypes it up immediately.
Y/n sweeps an enemy’s legs.
“OH! Did you see that? That was sick!”
The villains are so confused when the two start casually bickering mid-battle.
“No, I meant to do that.”
But the second one of them is in real trouble, the other is dead serious. No jokes, no hesitation, just pure determination to protect each other.
If either one of them is in trouble, the other is always the first to react. There’s no hesitation—just pure instinct.
Y/n once got surrounded during a battle, and before they could even call for backup, Ronny zoomed in and took down three enemies before Y/n could blink. “C’mon, you gotta be faster than that!”
If Ronny gets captured or taken down, Y/n goes feral. The team knows not to get in their way when they’re fighting to get her back.
— What is Y/n’s dynamic with the other Rangers?—
—Mack (The responsible leader):
Mack sees Y/n as another sibling and secretly enjoys watching them and Ronny bicker.
Y/n respects his leadership, but they’re not afraid to challenge his decisions when necessary.
“Look, Mack, I get where you’re coming from, but I think we need a backup plan in case this goes wrong.”
He appreciates Y/n’s level-headedness, especially when Ronny is being extra chaotic.
When Y/n and Ronny both get reckless, Mack just sighs. “Why do I feel like I’m babysitting twins?”
— Will ( The chill sniper) :
Will acts like he’s too cool to get involved in sibling drama, but he secretly enjoys watching it.
“You two are like a comedy show. I should start charging for tickets.”
They sometimes team up for stealth missions since they both have a tactical approach.
They both love teasing Ronny together.
Dax considers Y/n and Ronny his chaos partners. The three are always causing mischief.
“Wait, you guys also snuck extra desserts from the kitchen?”
The two sometimes compete with him to see who can come up with the most over-the-top battle move names.
Even though they tease each other, they have each other’s backs in battle—Dax knows Y/n’s someone he can count on.
“Okay, okay, serious moment—you’re awesome, and I’d follow you into battle any day.”
“Wow, thanks, Dax. That was almost deep.”
“Yeah, you feeling okay?”
—Rose (The smart one and the crush):
Oh boy. Y/n has such a huge crush on Rose, and it is painfully obvious.
Ronny picks up on it immediately.
“Oh, I see what’s happening here.” Smirks. “You like Rose.”
Ronny would find every opportunity to push the two together.
“Hey, Rose, need a sparring partner? My dear sibling here is very available.”
Y/n groans as Rose raises an eyebrow at them.
Despite Y/n’s awkwardness, Rose likes working with them because they’re dependable and have good ideas.
The team notices how Y/n gets extra serious when they’re paired up with her, trying not to mess up.
Rose definitely appreciates how Y/n listens to her ideas and back her up in battle without hesitation.
When they get injured, she’s one of the first to check on them. “Are you okay? You shouldn’t be so reckless.” She places a hand on Y/n’s arm, and they short-circuit.
Ronny, watching from a distance: “Oh yeah, they’re so in love.”
— Spencer (The mentor/father figure):
Spencer sees Y/n as another one of his kids and always has a witty remark about Ronny and Y/n’s sibling antics.
“Ah, yes, another day of ‘The Ronny and Y/n Show.’ Should I get popcorn?”
He’s also weirdly good at giving relationship advice.
“If you’d like, I can casually mention to Rose how heroic and intelligent you are.”
Y/n and Ronny constantly prank each other. She once filled Y/n’s boots with confetti, so they dyed her favorite racing gloves pink.
Every time Y/n and Rose get paired up for a mission, Y/n is dying inside the whole time.
Ronny tells Rose embarrassing stories about them.
“Did you know Y/n used to sleep with—”
Y/n tackles her before she can finish.
The two are always turning everything into a competition. Who can run faster? Who can eat more pizza? Who can stay up later without crashing?
One time, they both tried to see who could hold a plank longer, and Spencer walked in 15 minutes later like, “I see you two are at it again.”
If there’s a video game in the base, forget it. No one else is getting a turn. It’s just Y/n and Ronny battling it out while the others place bets on who will win.
“Come on, just admit I’m better at this!”
The moment Ronny realized Y/n liked Rose, she made it her personal mission to make them as flustered as possible.
