"Don't let your eyes see or ears hear that which you cannot account for."
"You mean you wish to surrender to me? Very well, I accept."
Sentence Meme {Princess Bride}
He supposed she was trying to be funny and he could partially see the humor in it. If it weren’t for his stubborn pride, he would have laughed, but all he did was crack a smile.
”No’ exactly, ma’am. We Riflemen don’ surrender; we fight t’ the last man if we ‘ave t’.”
Though, if she offered a full English breakfast in return for a peaceful surrender, Richard just might reconsider.

Wellington heard the footsteps stop in front of his desk. Pointedly ignoring them, he finished writing his sentence before looking up.

Richard Sharpe side-stepped a puddle, fiddling with his belt and settling his sword back on his hip. The small town was crowded with the addition of the army to the native inhabitants. He ducked around a wagon, stumbling right into another puddle, and nearly running head-long into someone else.
"Sorry-" he began. "Di'n't see ye there, ma'am."
"Wow, your eyes are gorgeous." [from Peri but he'd word it more like "Wow, your eyes. -casually stares-"]
((If Peri said it))
She could feel her cheeks reddening in a blush, as if lit from behind by a candle. And, silly as it was, she put her hand over her glasses—not touching, since she hated getting finger prints on the lenses—and dipped her head with a bashful giggle. You would think that, after being married to him for a while now, she would have gotten past this! “You’re making me blush, Peri~”

((If Mabel said it))
She never thought her eyes were much to look at, and she uncomfortably rubbed the back of her neck. "Thank you...D'you really think so?"

Send ϡ for a sleep headcanon
Virginia used to sleep like a baby, peacefully and really quiet, she barely moved. Her days were always happy and stress was completely unknown to her. Her concerns were simple and mainly, childish. Of course, that changed, she got married at the age of 13 and the concerns started to take over, debts, her husband’s drinking, family problems, money. Although her family has always kept her away from those unsettling things, sometimes she hears, she feels certain tension that can be stressful. Later on, the doctors said that she would die eventually and it was slowly driving her insane.
Virginia doesn’t sleep well anymore and she prefers not to. She is terribly scared of dying in her sleep or missing things while she isn’t conscious, the troubled thoughts give her nightmares, sometimes not terrible ones, but she’s far too sensitive and wakes up crying and really disturbed. Virginia absolutely hates, loathes, fears, is terrified of waking up alone. That, thoughts, nightmares, sad news can even induce panic attacks, not to mention that in the worst stages of her illness fever would make her experience hallucinations and disorientation.
