Danny looked around nervously as he walked up to his grandmothers house with his parents, he had never met her before and he was currently seven years of age. His father knocked on the door and looked down at Danny giving a small smile as they waited with Danny's older cousin and two uncles.

Dean was walking across the motel parking lot. It was a little after midnight when they got back. He was holding a baby boy bundled up in some blankets in his arm. He had promised that he would keep him safe at all costs. The door was less than 20 feet away when something side swiped him and knocked him down. He felt a warm substance seeping out of his side and a seering pain. Dean clung on to the child in his arms and doubled over him and used his own body to protect him. Fighting unconsciousness, he didn't date expose the baby to fight back. 'This is the end, Dean. You failed,' was his last thought as he drifted into the black nothingness.
