One Of Us || SilverSparrow
There were a lot of things Terence had to show Silvermist. To him, she seemed like a version of himself years earlier, when he came to town and had no idea what to do other than go work with Tink every night. Therefore, he figured it was important for that fairy-to-fairy sort of help to continue on. Besides, he wanted Sil to see just how better he’d gotten at everything!
One thankfully tranquil morning, the blond told her to meet him outside the bakery after his shift. That way, they could walk along Main Street and maybe even buy her a phone, because otherwise, how was she going to get accidental nudes and out-of-context texts? It was an important part of the Swynlake experience.
So, the sparrow man did his best to leave as soon as possible, thankful that another baker had already come for the afternoon shift. He sat on the small bench outside the bakery until he saw the familiar fairy close-by. “Silvermist! Hey!” he called out, waving his hand in the air.

I would have slowed down, for you.
Another mood board for @herebesparrows/@sparrow-fic‘s OC Imogen and Pietro. I love the ship name so much: Silversparrow.
Disco Jester!
Noooo he's not my favorite... I could never!! What are you talking about?
His name is Groovy. Aka Mr. Loverboy with no rizz whatsoever (only a little bit), unless if you consider his charm to come from how klutzy he is. He knows how to flirt and not be weird about it, sure, but as soon as it works he's nothing but a flustered mess.
Other than that? He loves to dance! If that wasn't obvious enough. CEO of doing happy jiggies and silly poses whenever he's excited or happy.
Unlovable Guilt || SilverSparrow
Terence was on his own. He was alone. Around him was only silence.
Sure, there were other people there, in the Fearscape. But Terence was more concerned about his own personal spot in hell. Whatever had caused this, the sparrow man had a stinging feeling that it was all his own fault.
It was always his fault. He could tell himself it was a coincidence that people kept disappearing. That they left because of something that wasn’t Terence. That they had other responsibilities, or they were afraid to act.
But, now, it was evident: Nobody had ever loved him. That much was obvious. Really, anyone could see it. Not his parents, who didn’t care about him moving out of the forest. Not anyone.
He could see them, right in front of him. The blackness that surrounded the sparrow man was unnerving, but even more was the fact that he could make faint figures not so far. It was all of them.
His parents, on their own, who no longer cared who their only child was. There was Tink, Terence’s first crush, who never became more than that. Because he wasn’t interesting enough for her, most likely. No, surely.
There was Berlioz, happily resting in Simba’s arms. Because if you take away all the desperate attempts to stand out and clichéd gestures, Terence was just the most vanilla boy you could find. He knew they thought that. They knew how boring and dull he was.
Copper, who had run out of town after Terence insisted on going out with him, which was now clear to the sparrow man that it was the reason it happened, was among them too.
Terence couldn’t tell if they were staring and judging, because his eyes were welled up with tears, as he cried without producing any shriek whatsoever.
He felt pale, colorless and wingless. He was useless. That was the truth. Right that moment, Terence couldn’t believe he used to pretend nothing was wrong. How he used to be naïve enough not to realize that nobody truly liked him - That nobody would ever love him, no matter how many presents and desserts he made for them.
And then, there was Dipper. He was different from the others. Mostly because Terence had acted foolishly. He knew, deep inside, that the kiss he gave him had caused everything. He didn’t know what was happening, but whatever had taken over Dipper at that time, it was him who gave it the force to do so - Everything, like always, was Terence’s fault, for being hopeful, bland and stupid.

Today's audiobook and crochet selection is #silversparrow by #tayarijones Interesting, fun and light compared to the rather weighty histories of US slavery I've been reading.
Three more reads to add to my ever growing collection. I actually need a real bookshelf now. I'm going to read these three next month while also finishing Flyte by Angie Sage.
