Zarza comes across a gruff, older dragon looking for herbs near her neck of the woods one morning, and she quickly offers to help out. What was supposed to be a quick trip for ingredients becomes a long day of hiking and searching for the two. By the time they find what Cedric needed, the sun has nearly set, and they decide to set up camp for the night. Not one to pass up a chance to flirt with a dragon, Zarza snuggles up close to Cedric by the campfire, and he shows his gratitude by giving her an even warmer and safer place to sleep. This was a fun, ambitious project to work on that I'm really proud of! I pushed myself a lot here with poses, visual storytelling, rendering, and the painterly backgrounds. Cedric is such a handsome dragon that I've been wanting to draw for a long time now, and I love how this all came together.
